4th year in I'm starting to think about pushing Finals, not quite, with 10-11 wins. None of this 6 wins crap. We did that last year, and led 7 times.in last qtrs and lost as well. Not to mention 7 wins year 1. No reason not to expect 10-11 wins. Should now be an expectancy.

When you win the inside 50s 61-54 and lose by 100pts is just about the lowest form of poor coaching imaginable. Just a total lack of sysyem, plan, structure etc, that injuries can't excuse. If you getting it in 61 times you're getting the ball but smashed by a lack system. So, under the current regime there won't be 10-11 wins as there should be.

You have been going on all year about this, but have offered very little in way of details, apart from some summary analysis.

So now that the season is over, let's start with the back 6, what structure have we deployed.

  • Zone, Man on man, mixture of the two
  • Passive or Aggressive positioning, protecting corridor or boundary line
  • Cluster or press
  • Diamond shape
Tell me which model Bolton has deployed during the year?

A totally unacceptable performance. I am ashamed of the way we play when we don't hsve the ball and have no answer to our continual lack of skill errors. I believe in Bolton but there has to be something deeply wrong with the coaching structure and method. We still need 20 list chsnges
So which one is it? The coaching or the lack of talent?

Isn't the point that the system does not have a structure that supporters can identify? We chop and change how we're playing, but execute neither well enough.

I can't accept starting a centre bounce with only 2 players on our side of the square. 2 vs 7 is setup to lose more than Malcolm Turnbull

It's easy to rattle off "no structure, strategy" without some detailed analysis backing it up.

Or perhaps it is the win/loss/margin analysis

Still don’t understand how people can judge structure etc with what we are putting on the park and absolutely no cohesion. What am I missing?
Structure is coached to all of the players. If it were a few issues here and there, then I'd agree with you. Our setup at centre bounces in that game was a disgrace. We were setting up like a team with no self belief. We setup like a team that wanted to lose.

Worst of all, the AFL is talking about requiring 6 players in each 50 at a centre bounce and we thought we should play 2 vs 7 as part of a learning experience in a dead rubber?

Any word on what's likely to happen with Daisy next year? I stayed back to clap the boys off as they went down the race after the game and Daisy was taking it all in, looking quite poignant and waving to the fans. It made me wonder if he thought he might be playing his last game of AFL.

Other people have said different but I was told weeks ago that if he wants to play again next year he will have to wait until after trade period. Same as a number of players. Media have said he is getting a contract but certainly hasn't been the talk around the club.

We will probably find out in the next few days

Dear 2018 Season,

Until you came along I loved even numbers. Your utter contempt for the team I love has now made me question that. You started out okay but ended like the bubonic plague.

Get ****ed and never ever come back.

Yours sincerely,

Tony Lynn 15.

I wouldn't be reading anything into last night. I was there and all I saw was 44 players jogging around doing their own thing

There were definately 22 players jogging doing their own thing.

How many goals did they kick within 15 metres because they had a system which allowed them to have a loose player. We won the inside 50s and kicked it straight to their spare player

What did my head in the most was the ease that the Crows found space. They streamed it out of the backline with ease and no pressure. The way Crows players snuck into their forward 50, waiting for an uncontested mark for an eternity was infuriating. Sometimes someone was standing on his own for 15+ seconds. Unless their tanks build and their defensive running improves, I'm not sure we can have a functional forward line of CC, Harry and TDK.

Much more mature talented side. Both were in cruise control and we had a number of passengers. Some did give up, but that just shows structure was irrelevant
Fair enough still not a great advertisement for the club .
One would have thought the players would have it in mind that lets finish off strongly .
All theyve done is make it even harder to attract players even with what you think about that its not going to help thats for sure .
Its the 3rd year in a row weve completely stunk it up in the last round and only says to me we still have as much of an issue of culture as we do about adding more talent .
Theres losing with dignity which a team can still display even in a 2 win season then theres games like last night that are inexcusable and have happened far too often this year even with the injury toll .

How bad is Sam Rowe. Doesn’t matter who plays on him, they end up looking like Wayne Carey. The bloke can’t defend unless the ball is on his head. is slower than a wet week and is the worse ball in hand player in the comp. we don’t get better until we get rid of players like him. Play Jones at fb and have weiters and Marchy doing their thing around him.

Him and Matt wright should be the first to goal. Goal hungry selfish germ. Week after week we see a teams half backs murder us while he is in no mans land. Doesn’t cut it. His stats look ok as he is a junk time specialist. Never stands up when the game is there to be grabbed.

Your being very harsh on Rowee.

Not a superstar and is filling a gap until a better lockdown KPD is obtained or is available.

As the team improves and it will then guys like Rowe play better.
