If jones was traded id definitely look at taking JR would sacrifice his own stats to lock down on a forward unlike jones does

Those that expressed a concern regarding the Settlefield trade, after we gave all key elements for McGovern , might be close to the mark. Hopefully we didn’t panic and went early ..... must try and keep the faith - but I will be p1ssed if we lose out on Settlefield.

As for next years first, I have a terrible feeling it will be a top 2 pick and therefore I prefer to keep as well.

Next year will be our last top 6 pick for a long while imo. 2020 is when we explode

With all this Jack Martin talk - Would it be as simple as we trade future first to Gold Coast for Martin and pick 29.
Pick 29 to GWS for Setterfield? We turn our future first into Setterfield and Martin.

Jack Martin I would do in a heartbeat, not a mid in the true sense of the word but what he doe is release Pickett up the ground where he can be a real weapon for us when we need him.

A forward line of HMAC, CC, gov, Martin, Fasolo and one of Pickett/Garlett is a tantalising prospect.

People forget how good Jack Martin can be still, he would thrive in Melbourne I reckon. Long shot I know but GC might do it for another guaranteed top 5 pick next year as part of this rebuild.

It does...but it would explain why GWS aren't really happy with the situation...they may feel 'forced' into dealing with us despite the fact they could get a better deal from another club.
