This put Port in the box seat for one of the SA guns.

The pressure on Reid and Adelaide is now huge.

I like seeing Reid, Adelaide and their fans under pressure lol

And Port paid a premium of over 1000 points to trade up to #6. There is a lesson there for Adelaide.

Anyone suggesting having pick 1 is a no doubt home run for best player available just needs to google Jamarcus Russell. ..... NFL are miles ahead of us with scouting etc and they to get it seriously wrong sometimes.

No way am I suggesting that Ed and Shiel are comparable players, but one would be on $500K and the other on $1M (guessing).

If you can find a player that has 85% the output for 50% the price, I think this is a big key to list management.

Just me, but I would prefer someone like Tom McDonald or Josh Jenkins at say $600K to Tom Lynch at $1.2M (as an example, not saying we need another KPF).

GC one of the clubs interested in 1. Possible trade could be 1 + next years first for 2+3 plus some other swaps. We'd then look at on trading 2+3 to the Adelaide clubs. Will depend on what the other clubs want to offer obviously, GC very interested in Walsh and aren't interested in mass picks from Adelaide due to their current draft hand.
