Friend send me a link wondering if I liked the new Cash Savage track, seeing as I was a huge fan of her uncle, the recently departed Conway.

TBH, I'd never bothered with her stuff - what kids under 35 do doesn't interest me, but it's not bad...

But on a second listen, I'd already heard it nearly 25 years ago...

Problem with getting old...everything repeats eventually.

Any hi-fi buffs used to show here back in the day when you could get a park in Bourke St?

Those reels used to turn around, with the VU meters lit up at night.

Where was World Heritage when you needed them?

Would LOVE to see this legend live in Melbourne, or anywhere in Australia.

Seen him twice...once in Brisbane, and once at the Montreux Jazz Festival...both times he left the stage after 40 minutes.

Great voice...but wouldn't pay my hard-earned again to see him.

Interesting.
Wondering if he's mellowed these days?.

Went to see Bob Dylan 2 months ago- most bizarre "performer". A true maverick.
Zero interaction with his audience.
Zero intro of any songs.
Almost unrecognisable songs.
At 1000pm, after 80 mins, lights on , just walked off- Zero acknowledgement that he was in a performance.Everybody just left shaking their heads, not waiting or hoping for an encore.

Hypothetical
The voices of:-
Eric Burdon v Jim Morrison v Ian Gillan v Van Morrison
Animals--------Doors----------Deep Purple--------Them
Who wins?
How would you rate them?
These guys are all phenomenal vocally

How could you leave out Paul Rodgers???

Saw Roger Hodgson at Montreux...absolute professional....just a wonderful night's entertainment.

And clearly a decent friendly individual. If you ever get a chance to see him live, grab the opportunity with both hands.
