I don't get it Jenny! It's not consistent!

I think a lot of it has to do with the age you watch things the first time? Also I was never a fan of Carey - thought he was a poor mans Jerry Lewis. Only movie I can tolerate him in is The Truman Show.

I'm getting a bit sick of uplifting minority movies. They all follow the same recipe. That's what the trailer makes it look like. Trailers can be very misleading though. Will still see it though.

Anyone still into Clint Eastwood? Something about him really annoys me. The mule is it this week.
I see your point.
Greenbook is a true story, which happens to have great characters. Personally if I was trying to describe it I would try to not compare it with Missisippi burning, it's on a different level.

Comedy is the most subjective genre.

My favourites are:

Superbad
Knocked up
Forgetting Sarah Marshall
Grandma's boy
Death of Stalin
Wedding crashers (one of the few times I've liked will ferell)

Brilliant cameo by Ferrell. Death of Stalin was seriously underrated.

The Suspiria remake was pretty good - very different to the original and not as good (it was never going to be though)

More arty giallo remakes, please.

I'll have to check out the original now. Really enjoyed the latest - hard to believe it's a true story. Great soundtrack by Yorke.

Anyone seen glass? Have a gold class voucher to use by the 31st and not much is grabbing me.
Is that the followup movie to "Unbreakable" ?? ......if so it's had mixed reviews, but if you have to use the pass, it's the best of a bad lot ATM

Essentially a Split sequel with an Unbreakable topping, this is weaker than either film but still has plenty of entertaining sequences, most of them due to McAvoy’s top-rate performance.

That said ....and I hated all the Transformer movies after the 1st where Spielberg gave the film some heart & storyline .....Bumblebee is getting big wraps

What about the front runner or Ben is back?

Is it linked to the Transformer movies or is this a reboot?

I like to be entertained at the movies .....so these are not my cup of tea ...that doesn't make them bad movies, so go with the style of entertainment you like

This thread has raved about the Spiderman Movie .....but is it your thing ?

I watched bumblebee last night after much debate over the last few weeks.
It's what I would class as Herbie turns robot, it wasn't bad, it was very watchable in the family genre.
I would give an unbiased 6.5/10

I want to see it, but it’s not in gold class.

As I understand, it's a spin off story .....thank god Michael Bay is no-where to be seen

'Bumblebee' is certainly the best example of what this franchise is meant to be, and should it continue on this path, the Transformers can become exciting and enjoyable all over again.
A "Transformers" movie in which the plot is coherent, the robots feel like characters (as opposed to gleaming CG creations), and the action is staged and edited clearly enough to follow

It's a blockbuster that, with a few whirring movements and a half dozen clicks and beeps, transforms itself into something meant to be watched by actual thinking, feeling human beings

That's good then .....me I rated the Transformers 2 onwards, as basically noise pollution

It's a prequel to the first Transformers movie.
Its got Disney written all over it.
I dont want to put anyone off of seeing it, I would just wait for it to come out on DVD instead of paying.
So many movies of late don't demand a movie going experience .....I've had a Hoyts Voucher now for 9 months & can't find anything I'd want to see in Gold Class ??
