Hi all,
This thread has two purposes, firstly to welcome CazC30 to the Bombers after what can only be described as a traumatic experience at the hellhole known as the Wonders and secondly, to dispel once and for all, the heinous rumours about the culture at the greatest Club in the SFA, the Baghdad Bombers.
We at the Bombers have welcomed with open arms CazC30 after her xenxen like expulsion from the Wonders. What a terrible, terrible club.
However, I am not here to pass judgement on that blow rag of an organisation, as they too have had a loss recently.
With haydo moving on, it is fair to say the Wonders have lost their 'soul'.. Their arseh*le.
Anyway, I digress.
Much has been said recently about the culture at the Baghdad Bombers. Racist, chauvinist, misogynistic and stinky are just some of the terms that have been thrown around, much to the detriment of the Bombers LG who know that we, as an organisation, and as a group of human beings have been terribly misrepresented.
Whenever we recruit new Qootballers, we make sure they all particpate in our "Safe Space Academy" programs run from our 'state of the art' Safe Space Polytechnic at Abdu Prison.
Our 'Safe Space' Polytechnic is a designated space where all Bomber players, supporters and any marginalized individuals from Baghdad can commune with other like minded individuals where freedom of speech is encouraged and criticism and derogatory language is prohibited. Well except on Wednesday 'Slap a Yemeni' day.
As the spiritual leader of the Bombers,I decided it was my task to change the perceptions of the wider SFA community to truly reflect how we, The Baghdad Bombers operate.
This was no easy feat, so I enlisted our newly signed rookie, CazC30 to report back on her experience during induction week at the Baghdad Bombers 'Safe Space' Polytechnic.
After completing the 'Welcome to the Bombers' breakfast session of her induction and passing the "hand-eye-sink" test,
It was time to spend some quality time with the doyens of the Club. Myself, Tony Lynn 15 and TheCoach16, all to a man, Captains of impeccable character.
Day 1
After spending time at my breakfast induction with the stars of the club, I was told I'd be going out with KohPhi to participate in his "Kohphi's Understanding Community Spirit" programs.(CUCS).
I had a few minutes to change out of my suspenders and heels, hop into the Limo and head out.
First stop was the marsupial orphan program.
KohPhi's an absolute natural with these poor, misfortune animals. After feeding some of the little critters, he handed over a wad of cash to the shelter owner saying 'my camels like them steamed'.
What a man, having these parentless
marsupials cleaned before a play visit with his camels. Just WOW!.
Day 2
It was an early start as we were visiting a local Life Saving Club where Koh, Coach and TL were facilitating free classes to the "Little Nippers".
The kids loved it and in particular, loved Tony role playing a visiting student who couldn't swim caught in a Bondi Beach rip.
I must admit, Coach cuts a fine figure in his speedos
Although his choice of floatation device may have been a little questionable.
Day 3
Today was a fantastic day. We visited an Afghani Childrens home for displaced refugee children. Here KohPhi teaches these beautiful children that there is a pathway for them out of these camps..
Day 5
We spend our final day visiting hospitals and providing medicines to children in need. I questioned KohPhi about this practice, and he showed me his credentials. I cant believe he is also a Doctor!!
I'm so glad to be a part of the Bombers, yes, I did go in and give them a hard time, pissed a few of them off, but I have now seen what being a Bombet truly means.
Go Bombers...
