I know it probably doesnt help too much in the short term - but i would much rather this then say 6 weeks because he has groin soreness or his OP came back.

A 24yo will generally recover well from what seems like their first calf injury

Firstly I will say its bad luck for Joe, but he is young and will recover.

I was not sold on where he was at during JLT. Looked better in the ruck than up forward IMO. I am not as disappointed about this as I probably should be but I feel we might get off to a better start to the year by having a forward line that was functioning well at the end of last year, over a forward line that has Joe trying to regain that AA form of 2 years ago, and maybe not quite right.

I am probably dreading the start we had last year and do not want us to be in a similar spot 5 or so games in.

I am normally pessimistic in nature but for some reason, my gut feeling , I am glass half full. Bizarre.

I'm staggered how blase some people are over this loss.

Yeah me too, I mean it's not like it's something trivial. I'm off to find a bridge.....

Wouldn't go that far but we're ultimately a poorer side without Joe.

We smashed it in the back end of 2018 without Daniher in the team. Of course, a fit Daniher is good for us, but we coped without him and should do so again.

We didn't cope without him we lost 3 games to Hawks, Pies and Tigers because we were missing fire power. He and Fantasia are so important to us.
