More Smoke Surrounding Freo? ..

Listening to 6PR this morning and the Hardie/Hagdorn tag team spent some time having digs at Lyon. Nothing new there and somewhat justified.

However, some listener called in and made reference to some rumours circulating on social media on Freo. Anyone know anything about this?

Well I didn't want to post it here but I guess the cats out of the bag. A friend of a friend told me we've apparently been using sky-lift technology.

Trying to combat the sky is falling attitude of some of the fanbase.

The AFL insider trade news (Facebook) is reporting that certain fitness staff have reported feeling uncomfortable by certain coaching staff and a few players. Then makes the standard comment that lots of key figures are upset at the handling of you guessed it Harley Bennell.

The AFL insider trade news (Facebook) is reporting that certain fitness staff have reported feeling uncomfortable by certain coaching staff and a few players. Then makes the standard comment that lots of key figures are upset at the handling of you guessed it Harley Bennell.

Honestly I felt dumber for reading it. Give it a miss.

I have deleted Facebook from my life. It has zero benifits in a healthy life. I can't stand those idiotic footy forums.

I hear you - I got rid of mine almost 3 years ago now; people still complain that I am out of all those "strong networks of friends", despite strong being more like flimsy. I also got rid of twitter although I never really got the point of that anyway. I have been threatening to get rid of Linkedin too - that was once a great way of connecting with topic experts around the world through the Groups part, but now that it is all focussed around the newsfeed all I seem to get is a bombardment of opinion pieces around how male workers should basically just kill themselves to make space for women and other such enlightening propoganda (I just assume it was those people who create this material broke up the actual effective networking bit, probably because they felt it gave yet another "unfair advantage" to men?).

Anyway - no fire here.

TBh I am reconsidering my use of social media. Platforms such as Twitter, Facebook and Google are heavily into manipulation and politics.

Not to mention the personal abuse rife on them.

I was using social media years and years before my wife and many friends, using forums to discuss topics I was interested in whether that's footy or books or whatever. My wife thinks it's wierd I'd bother talking with strangers, whereas I still barely use FB, instagram or whatever because the fact that I know people (or know someone who knows someone who knows someone else) doesn't change that 90% of it is talking about nothing.

Rhys has a pretty good arm on him, from track side he got some good elevation and fair way into the track.

I hope we sack the fitness staff tbh. If reported, they’re a bit upset, unsure about how things are handled then that’s hypocritical. Not doing their best job, at all, and repeatedly failing soft tissue injuries. Coaching staff have every right to be angry at them.
