While George is still having a few problems setting up the podcast , I thought tomorrow evening I would try a practise podcast . so if anyone is free at around 7pm and you can skype me then join in and we will have a go just to see what its like . It wont be put up for others to hear but it will basically just be a learning curve for us all . We will treat it as a proper podcast just so we can have a practise at talking with each other . Hopefully a few people will join in . i will be asking people how they think we will go this year , how you think certain players are going , what is your impression of new players etc etc . The idea is people are just themselves but allow others to have a different opinion of course. My skype address is

An hour away. I have played there on all the courses except the Old Course. Love the Lothian courses east of Edinburgh. Gullane, North Berwick, Dunbar. Played Muirfield once. I am a member at Dalmahoy which is 5 min away. Bitterly cold today. Enjoyed the golf, but it was hard work at times. Golf heaven here, no doubt about it. Wish I was better at it!

Even Jason day wants to be better at it. Great game. I must so I’m very jealous but then again the Melbourne sandbelts aren’t to bad.

Thursday night I am doing the first podcast for the Saints Big Footy site . George will join in when he gets his computer sorted , hopefully next week . Is anyone interested in being the first guest . All you need is a microphone and Skype which is a free program. It’s only audio so you don’t have to worry about video . We will go through the selected team , talk about new players , talk about how we think we will go this year etc . Nothing hard , just a bit of fun . Nobody expects ground breaking stuff because if they did I wouldn’t be on it lol . If you are interested please let me know ASAP .

Thanks to Brains Trust66 who put together the Round 1 podcast by himself given the issues I've had with Skype recently.

I am working to put this up on the Saints BigFooty YouTube page and also the BigFooty podcast account, so I will provide links once I have it uploaded.

It's a nice short and sweet podcast, only 15 minutes so give him a listen! Pretty good effort, I know I would've struggled on my own.

This will get better and better as the season progresses, and if anyone wants to jump in and have a chat just let us know in this thread or via PM.

Will you be interested in doing a review of Saints vs GC from this week and a preview of next weeks game around Thursday night ? Inane rambling is all I do lol . If you can’t make it that’s fine , any other time will be great . I do have to work out why it only recorded 15 mins this week though . I rambled on for about 30 mins and it only recorded 15 , I feel ripped off lol.

Bare in mind it is our first for the year and Brains Trust66 did a terrific job taking it on himself.

It does cut out at 15 minutes, we do apologise, but given it's the first for the year we wanted to just get something out there before Round 1.

Looking forward to making it better and better as the season rolls on.

Haha it's alright I wouldn't have done as well as you did that's for sure.

Will be much better/smoother when I jump on. Easier to talk with someone else than nobody.

It was actually funny hearing my voice , I kept saying to my wife Do I sound like that , lol, it’s not what I thought I sounded like .

I've been a best man at three weddings, one of them was in a town in Poland bordering the Ukraine where I had to do my speech in front of 200 Poles with no english, which was easily my best and most successful speech so far. I am however always astounded at how I sound on the PA. It's no mean feat to do these things, particularly when no one has a reference point to whom the f*ck you are beside someone with a connection to what is the focal point. I gave it a listen BT, you did fine...I'd back you to do better than myself in Uztriki Dolne formerly of the Ukraine, but now Poland (for now)
