Hardwick lost me in the presser tonight .. have you seen it?

So even after Collingwood has cleaned us up twice in the ruck with Grundy he was asked about using Jack in the ruck and said "We aren't a 2 ruckman side its not how we play, that's not who we are so from our point of view one of those guys needs to ruck"
That's what makes me so angry he is fuc*&ng delusional, Hardwick is going back to his old ways bookmark it!

We need someone in defence who is calm and can negotiate traffic. I don't know if Baker has played back but he looks very assured when the ball is around him. And certainly won't take three grabs to pick up a groundball; won't hack kick it and won't handball it a metre to someone standing stiil next to him.
Give him a couple of games and he will do all of that

**** we were shit.

Haven't seen us play this bad since 2010. We had no f'n idea out there.

Mark my words we are done. At least we have a flag to show for it.

This is the beginning of the end unfortunately.

You and groupie really need to have an in between opinion on things every so often ;)

But in all seriousness.

Roast: Dimma tonight, I thought we were very much out coached after quarter time. Yes there was no effort from players but not sure how we continued to structure up the same with no plan B.
........etc etc
Would love to know what goes on behind the scenes. Surely, sometimes, lack of effort reflects a lack of belief in what's asked of them.

How da Damn did Ellis turn into such a spud? He looked like he would become a good player earlier in his career.

Other thing that didn’t sit well with me since last years PF was how Dimma kept saying we had a bad day, we reserved our worst game for the PF. Makes it sound like a fluke. It would have been better to acknowledge that we’d been found out and beaten by a better team. They applied their plan again tonight and they will keep beating us until we adjust
Which had been obvious for weeks

And what the **** was Jack doing in the ruck. Having lost Rance last week.

Worst coaching decision in recent memory.
I'd pack half of the stuff owned by whoever thought of that idea and let them know that the other half is next if they ever come up with a stupid idea like that again.

I don't care for all the banter as it usually turns to ****-headedry very quickly.

We did have injuries last year, a couple of significant ones, but none as significant as Richmond losing Rance. Houli is also a pretty big loss. It'll take a few weeks for Richmond to adapt to playing without Rance who I'd easily rate as one of the top 3 defenders in the comp despite what all the opposition flogs say about him (they'd have him at their club in an instant if they could). Jack f'ing up his wrist so early in the game obviously had a big impact as well. He's one of my favorite players so it really sucked to see him go down like that early in the game.

I always enjoy our matches, especially in the last few years as I love the way Richmond play and it always forces us to play a similar style and it's great to watch.

I thought the whole first round was way too over-umpired so tonight was more refreshing as they let more go, but the umps missed 2 very blatant throws from Sidebottom (one or both of them were in Richmond's forward half which probably would've resulted in a goal to Richmond if payed) and I think it was Treloar who got away with an obvious one in the last qtr.

I've enjoyed watching Richmond games the last few years and was cheering like a madman for you guys in 2017, especially in the finals. My Mum's a big Richmond supporter and goes to most games with her partner. I went to a few Richmond family days when I was a kid and have much love for the Tigers. My Mum's got a photo with Benny Gale displayed very proudly in her living room (He's easily a foot and a half taller than her. She's like a school girl when she see's him down in the rooms after the game!)

Pay no attention to all the sh*t-talking from opposition flogs. You guys will bounce back. I can't see you guys missing the 8. You'll go back to the old drawing board and rebound. I'm sure there's some kids in the 2's you guys have been looking forward to seeing given a chance.

All the best for the year. Hope we have many more good games in the future and that we both get one back on Meth-Coast this year!

Hate you guys. Dont give a shit about West coast. Remember 1980

Collingwood stretched our zone really well and then kicked through it, but to be honest they didn't really score that heavily from this strategy. We still let sidebottom run around without any attention while they hard tagged matin, and we didn't block the leading lanes even though all their forwards are leading forwards.. We just didn't learn anything from the prelim.

We made some massive errors in selections, not picking soldo, to relieve nank and man up Cox, who continues to embarass us. The markov selection was particularly baffling.

My perception was that he main problem was that we turned the ball over for goals time and time again. We tried to play our run and gun style but that style only seems to work when we play on the fast break after being pressed. Not sure if its the new rules of whether the opposition has worked out that the best way to counteract our transition is to sit back, but either way, they basically intercepted us through the midflield and at half back and then caught us out of position.

All we needed to do was just slow down our play and chip through the midfield until we could get forward and then apply pressure, but we rarely got to execute any pressure because we continually turned it over.

We don't seem to be able to change our style of play in game, either through coaching or through on-field leadership. This is pretty concerning.

Rance, Riewoldt, Houli and Caddy being out is a pretty big impact. Quite a few players are out of form and we seem a bit unfit/rusty.

Worried about our next few games, and where we will find ourselves after 5 rounds.

Perfectly summed up why we needed a contested beast mid. Ross should have played.

Let's make a bit of a statement next week. Prestia and his lazy, bs lack of pressure, shit kicking and slowness out.....Ross in.

Send a message to the group.

We need the mosquito fleet back in full force.
Jack/Lynch, Caddy, Rioli, Butler, Castagna,, Higgins.
Everyone else can **** off and let them do what they do best.
We need that manic pressure what took us to a premiership back.

The mosquito fleet has been overrated.

Dimma was very poor with team selection and really out-coached on the night. How did Castagna just walk back into the side ahead of Balta?? Our team is way too short, we get dominated in the air and it has flow on effects.
