Been saying that for a while Mr hoos, shorty would be a real weapon half forward/wing, especially with the new 666 rule
Unless he somehow learns to defend. Otherwise he's not much use back there apart from three kick outs.

Haven't seen you for a little while. How have you been, guru?

Lynch was a RFA.
Begs the question then, what are we trying to achieve this year?

Without Rance the year is nearly a write off, Jack being out for a month minimum and Grimes' brain fade leads me to believe this year isn't going to be one with much luck...

It's interesting with this new Satan rule since its been introduced
Lambert has really struggled, last year he was mainly used as 7th defender running through the back of t h e square, and then move Into the midfield
He can't do that any more, obviously, he can do lock down roles and he can kick goals, he can run all day, ,I would play him half forward and make him accountable for the opposite best running defender, , and if n needed a run through the middle as well, he seems confused with his rolein the side, give him this new job and I think he will flourish

Struggling? He was in our best against Carlton

Was a poor performance, no doubt it's been mentioned losing the uncontested/contested ball as well as tackles shows the lack of effort, which has been happening in patches since last season. There's a lot of reasons this could happen, from game plan's that don't suit to poor on field leadership to coaching off field leadership, player attitudes etc.

At this stage we just need to regroup, get back to basics and fix the team wide effort defensively, then push on towards fixing the ball movement and micromanaging the lines imo.

We cant drop everyone, the stats on winning with 4+ changes are not good, so unless we're going to put a line through certain players that are recently back from injury or new to the team, history says to give them more time.

Personally I think we should bypass players like Markov/Menadue/Weller and look to the new draftees to give them (the better ones) some games and fast track their development while pushing to win as many games as possible for the good of the club culture, regardless of our premiership chances this season.

With all the dust settled i find myself extremely pissed off with Dylan Grimes

Grimes should really take a good hard look at himself and question his leadership and discipline
How can you let your self have such a brain fart being a senior player and risk getting suspended with Rance & Riewoldt injured

Im sure he would be regretting what he had done and will come back better but the question needs to be asked of him about that incident

On the other hand he played great

ditto Vlastuin

You can only play as well as the oppo lets ya and The Filth took our weapons away.
Whoever we play, next week and later on if we have to take the ball the length of the ground to score like we did Thurs
we’ll lose more than we win.
We created unconvetional problems in 2017 and we have to do it again.
I really want to see Balta, Short and Houli play together.
We only had Short last game thats not enough options for the Oppo to worry about.

by all reports towner was great in the praccy match. as was Bolton, balta moore and baker...for mine, balta in for jack. Moore in for grimes, towner in the guts who swaps with dusty who plays half forward. prestia has been ordinary for last two games so give bolton or ross a shot. apparently boltons effort in the middle in the vfl was great. i think if we gift blokes games who are not in form we are gonna stink it up big time....
