Welcome again, to another edition of everyone's favourite in-thread media. As we are playing the Bombers this week I decided I would take the opportunity to interview one of my all time favourites. A player I tried to emulate early in my career. The one and only beez

What brings you back season after season?

beez: Friendships. A like-mindedness. A sense of community. A feeling of acceptance that we all crave. A consciousness that for some reason may be lacking in our real life relationships yet we find comfort and solace in the connections we make in the Sweet FA.

What makes you angry? In life and within the Sweet FA?

When you go to a Subway and there's no beetroot; I immediately walk out.
When people walk on the right side of the footpath; they get a massive eye-roll from me.
When the internet won't work for a while; When it comes back up I open up an online chat and passive-aggressively abuse the **** out of the person on the other end.
When it rains in the morning on the way to work; on the way homes it's ok.
The Americanisation of British-English; seriously you dumb ****s don't even realize what a complete ass you are.

FP: Speaking of feeling the pressure; does having an award named after you for posting add to that pressure? Is it an honour or a curse?

B: It's an honour, a privilege and definitely not a curse. I'm not sure who came up with the idea but it is certainly humbling.

Having said that, I'm all for naming awards that celebrate a player's contribution to the game. However, I do think this one is a little off the mark. It was just by pure happenstance. Was I an awesome poster at one time or another? Yes. I like to think I helped revolutionise media threads and demonstrated how to be a solid, all round, season-long posting machine. But am I the best ever? Of course not. Am I in the top 10? One could certainly argue no. Naming an award for its inaugural winner in this instance misses the mark I think. The MVP or something along those lines, no matter how nominal, would be a far better name for the award.*


*Don't you dare even think of changing it campaigners.

FP: I'm assuming when you eventually cease to be, you will ascend up to the pantheon of Sweet FA gods.

B: I'm going to pass on that question. I actually don't know a lot of the newer posters and don't know which other teammates are rated or not.

Let's talk about me for a moment. How gutted were you exactly when I turned down your offer to join the Bombers as a rookie?

B: Wow. You're old. I don't even remember that. I was probably drunk. Probably for the best you didn't join us as I don't think your shoulders are strong enough to carry all the premierships you would've won with us. We've all seen your inept marking abilities.

You still got that box of Favourites you offered me to come play for the Demons?

FP: Yes, it still has all the Turkish Delights in the bottom. I plan on throwing them at you today. And my marking ability is about 200% better than my tackling ability, thank you very much.
