Wilkies been very solid.
Good mark good kick good options.
If he’s been dropped we must have someone very good replacing him so don’t worry.

Wilkie is on the extended bench.

I like the changes. Stuv managed, but glad to see Longy and Hunter back.

Final teams tomorrow afternoon anyway so don't melt just yet...
Long will shine in WA if he plays

Joyce I expect for extra height and athleticism to combat Freo talls

Disappointing to see Steven rested but understandable given his interrupted pre-season, on the plus side it should give Hunter Clark a chance.

Don't think there is any need to bring in an extra tall defender, we'd be better off bringing in an extra runner to exploit their tall forwards like the Suns did.

Personally, I agree we need as much pace and endurance as we can muster in the west. But think they will play Joyce if Wilks out

Wilkie would be unlucky to be out, but it might be that they want to see what Joyce can do in the same role. He seems to be able to win a bit of the ball and has nice skills, think he could be good in the intercepting back role.

Having said that it doesn't seem like Wilkie is actually out. I'm expecting Clark for Jack and that's it.

If Wilke is dropped, it will be Joyce who replaces him.
Free play a tall forward line so bringing in White, who is smaller than Wilke, would make no sense.
That would leave Battle as the 3rd defender/interceptor which is a role I can see him excelling at.
Wouldn't be surprised if White plays , the last time he headed west last year he picked up 20 touches and 5 marks

Freo have named three 193cm+ forwards, plus Lobb in the ruck and the potential of Darcy - though many freo fans feel he will be dropped.
Cant see White replacing Wilke in his role on one of those forwards.
And since their are no other defenders who played last week on the extended bench, I don't see a role of White in this squad.

Clark in for Steven.

That’s the only change I’d make. We might be undersized in defence but it gives us an opportunity to launch attacks a little more easily.

I’m liking all parts of our team. Everything is well-balanced and our style is efficient.

How nice is it to look forward to the footy and expect a competitive effort? Just like Bassat said, we are looking to be competitive every week.

Keep on going Sainters.

Don't reckon Clark or Long have really put their hands up. I think Paton has a lot of upside, and I would give him a run on the forward line. Interchange: Acres, Paton, Wilkie, Joyce.
