I'll just put this here.

Except they are playing low risk as so many attacking plays break down because players refuse to take the first option, rather holding it up for 10 or 15 seconds and allowing the opposition to setup defensively. Attacking play means moving the ball fast constantly, not giving the opposition all the time they could ever want to get in the right positions to defend.

Has someone got the record of coaches at the same club from the 201st game onwards

Sheedy at essendon would be ok of course , norm smith
Mchale
Clarko?

Can’t be many who from 201 onwards did much without changing clubs

that was pretty obvious when it was mainly our 22-23 yr olds were turning over without any pressure. While turnovers from pressure were high, it was turnovers without any pressure that killed us.

Jack, Parker, Kennedy, Buddy...they all had a real go.

Ahem.... KJ sticks his head out of a bowl of trippa parmigiana and says hi there Bungee. Last night he butchered most of his few possessions.

To continue on with how long it has been since Carlton had kicked 100 points in a game, it may not be as long but the Swans are up to 281 days since we last kicked 100 points or more in a game.

we have only conceded 100 2 times in that time too, saysa lot about our goal to just make it a slog

We have a list that is better than 1-4 right now, there is no question in my mind about that.

We don't have a list that is better than 1-4 right now because the list right now is 1-4.
There have been many premiership lists that never won a premiership.

If we had a better coach I think we would be 3-2

Carlton butchered chances in their loss to us. Horse stunk it up in the 4thQ by going ultra defensive. We are lucky to not be 0-5.

Our heatmaps are improving, at least. Last year we wouldn't have made it to the centre circle. Unfortunately we are moving the ball far too slowly to make effective use of the corridor.

Based on wishful thinking and hatred for the current coach.

Our skills have been horrible. You can't win games when your skills are below par.

Based on the fact that we are playing a terrible gamestyle, and with a different more imaginative coach we might be able to make use of our reasonable forward line.

I think we've got the strategy to turn it around:

"We have been in similar situations and we have been able to get ourselves going," Longmire said. "But it's not a matter of just talking about it. It's a matter of going out there and doing it. And we also know it is not done through anything other than hard work and getting out there and working at your craft. "We have turned it around before and we need to turn it around again, so that's the challenge in front of us."

I think hard work and craft development will put us right back in the frame for a premiership tilt.

I doubt anyone hates John Longmire. He seems a top bloke.

Don't confuse criticism with hatred.

If Longmire is talking about 2017 with his first sentence then that is just disingenuous as our situation in 2019 is very very different to our 0-6 start in 2017.

Agreed. I don't hate John Longmire and nothing would make me happier than seeing him create a modern gameplan for our list, prove he is able to adapt and then continue with the Swans for another 5 or so years. I just don't think it is going to happen.

Don't confuse hatred of his coaching with personal hatred.
I just assumed that nobody would personally hate him. Perhaps I shouldn't make that assumption.
