Bizarre because I saw him lay multiple tackles and wrap the ball up a couple times. Think there is a differing definition of what a tackle is amongst the AFL's own stat recorders.

Please ... those saying Dow needs a rest and is not up to it at the moment. Have another look at his game - the number of times he did not record a possession but tapped the ball on, stopped the opposition, did all those 1%ers. And did all of this in the middle of the congested play was immense. He does have weaknesses and his kicking is sometimes not a good as it could be but he well and truely deserves to keep his spot in the team. He is definitely best 22 every day of the week.

Damn exciting. Most of it has been covered but to add my 2c:

Walsh is a deadset machine. Elite running, reads the game brilliantly, never out of position, always makes the right decision, always executes properly. He’s just so well rounded, it’s remarkable.

Dow’s decision making and disposal still needs work but otherwise I think he is travelling well. He adds real speed and power to our stoppages, which we don’t exactly have an abundance of. Clearly going to make it (and more).

Back 6 is working beautifully. It used to be heart in the mouth stuff but now it’s just so composed. Structured and organised, people backing themselves to take the mark, not panicking under pressure.

Overall, just a far more composed performance. It didn’t feel like anything particularly changed or was different....we just executed this week. They’re also showing they are a pretty tough bunch, impressive response after a couple of tough weeks.
