Polson has played 16 games. SIXTEEN
I genuinely live in hope re Polson ... but I’m haunted by Benjamin Franklin’s remark that “those who live on hope die fasting”.

In time we’ll see if Polson makes it, because atm I simply don’t know either way. As you say though, it’s very early days, and there’s no harm in waiting, as long as the first team doesn’t suffer too much in the meantime.

harsh after today......
Footy is a harsh business thy and I love and have utmost respect for anyone wearing the CFC on his chest. I’m just looking at what I think makes us better. If Plowman stays in then I support him 100%, I’m not the supporter that watches the game and criticises every time he makes an error i always support the boys. But after the game I’m entitled to analyse without the rose coloured glasses. And you know what if willo comes in and doesn’t improve the team I’ll be the first one calling for Plowman to come back in.

I don’t know either but to write off players at this stage amazes me.

SPS today just another example of what experience and games mean.

As a lifelong fan, it’s been a hard 20 years, but it is games like today we can pin our hopes on, young players leading from the front, seeing our young captain pushing, pointing, instructing and leading by example, players like JSOS given his first game for the year and contributing, Harry McKay converting his chances, SPS showing why he was so highly rated, Sam Walsh showing his courage yet again. I am so happy with the win, no matter what your stance or view on the club, the coach, the young guys, the old guys, just enjoy it.

He has the capacity to kick 4, really fast.
When he does, there I will be waiting!

I don’t give a flying how many he’s played. It’s my opinion that he doesn’t have what it takes at this level and after a “kickless” game it just highlights it more. A moment here and a moment there doesn’t cut it unfortunately. Happy for him to go back to the twos and come back and prove me wrong.

Maybe I should post it in the unpopular opinions thread but that’s my view on Plowman. I’ve seen enough to come to that conclusion. He’s ok until we’ve got better and 3 tallish players is enough imo so Williamson in for more run out of backline.

I thought Plowman was very good today and the combination of our current defence is a massive positive.

I wouldn’t be stuffing with it

PS Willo is taller than Plowman

22 disposals at 95%, plenty of marks, equal high 1%s, 3rd best rebounder and a couple of inside 50's.

John McEnroe would be yelling at you for that crap.

I really thought we outworked them for the contested ball and didn't allow them any space. The rare times we did they looked good. IMO we just beat them fair and square. It was a great win on so many levels
Beat them at there own game which is outnumber around the ball and we had the extras every time by pushing our half forwards up the ground to contest the stoppages, worked our backsides off for that win today our running both ways was a highlight for me, so good to see how fit we are in terms of our run, to run the bulldogs off there legs shows this in spades especially after the hard games we have had leading up to this one, credit to Russell for this.

When lots on here we’re questioning sps I reassured he was going to make it, same for cuningham.
Sps had one flaw, flinched once or twice going back with the flight but that’s been rectified.
PS Lucky I wasn’t around here in the Sam Cranage days

He needs a sustained period in the twos to build proper continuity. Will be stoked if he makes it but he doesn’t bring enough to warrant an ongoing selection at this stage.

May have been said:

Gibbons showed a LOT today.

1. Much better off half forward / wing / occasional on ball
2. Run and pace terrific
3. Hands very good. Very good.
4. Has a competent left foot!
5. Composure and decision making up the ground very good

Can kick more than 40-45. Play within yourself son. You just could have a career ahead. Well done.

Damn that question by Caro hasn't aged well. Shows how much she knows about footy. Just another headline chaser
She knows very little about the actual game. Her go is the off field footy politics, but even this is challenging her nowadays. Surely the Tiggies could offer her an admin position as repayment for the hard work her father put in running the club.
