The truth is, without inside knowledge, nobody has a clue about how the coaches interacted with each other. It seems everyone is jumping to conclusions based on the fact that we have won games. I’m happy that we’ve won games but I’m not prepared to apportion all the success to David Teague.

Player ratings rate disposal efficiency VERY high. Champion data do a lot of work understanding how hard the kick attempted was. Whether it was under pressure or not. And unfortunately Walsh does have a slight tendency to miss the target.

Possibly in part influenced by the fact he has run the second most KM in the whole ****ing AFL this year. Just sayin.

Not a rumour but I (perhaps willingly...) overheard LOB and Russell discussing GPS numbers, nutrition and the like. LOB feels in the greatest shape he has since being in the system, legs are fresh and was ready yesterday to play another game...

Definitely a good thing to be hearing about late in a season. Massive pre-season for all coming up.
Can we employ you as our professional eavesdropper?

LOB running is ON FIRE. Can not wait to see him on the MCG against Crows this week.

Yes.

And can the club just ****ing accept my application to join the medical/high performance team over the summer (for free)? I've got some time off and a very particular set of skills, skills I have acquired over a very long career.

I also won't leak any information to the public...

THIS

“Why are we being out numbered at the contest? Where’s....oh s**t”

I literally said that twice on the weekend. We lost a bit of run and carry and looked slow for a couple of periods... I look around... No number 18 in sight.

True story, this happened in round 1 against the tigers this year as well ( his first ever game )

p.s. Walsh is also an elite decision maker and hits most of his kicks, champion Data is a crock... I watched him hit some lovely daring kicks down the middle of the ground on Saturday, a lesser player wouldn't have even located the option let alone not the kick

Yeah but I love him more. So there.

It's guesswork for me and you, sure, but it's educated guesswork for the club, right? They get to speak at length with all candidates to assess their attitude, knowledge, plans, strengths, weaknesses, requirements etc.

Appreciate that you see the history with Ratten as a door once closed that we don't need to open again. I suppose I'm just trying to plant a little seed in your head that should Ratten be a better coaching candidate, then it's in the club's best interests to hire him and put a structure in place around him that allows him to focus solely on his job alone.

Was firmly Team Ratts early on, but I'm coming around to Teague. Certainly prefer both blokes to the Scott, Lyon, Voss options, and hold some reservations about a possible Clarkson coup. Feel like a fresh but well-prepared coach is what the team needs now, someone with no preconceived ideas about what a football team should do, but an open mind as to what our football team does best.
This post is a good-un 👍

Roos said Walsh is SO GOOD that you would trade this year’s Picks 1 AND 2 for him and it would still be a great deal.

There's some context around what Roos said. Gold Coast offered us two of their high picks (last year's super draft) for pick 1 (Walsh) and Carlton said thanks but no thanks. Such was the undeniable belief that Sam was special despite how stacked everyone also believed the draft was.

Yes.

****. If I was holding SOS's daughter hostage you'd have her back in a heartbeat.

IIRC - Not quite correct.

Doesn’t Paul Roos just love Carlton at the moment

Greasing up big time
