My only ideology for this forum is that we err on the side of support, don't let persistent negative agendas build up, post at a higher standard to the club's facebook page, don't get personal or abusive, and avoid attacking anyone at Carlton with words like 'spud', 'dud', 'r*****' etc.

Always has been thus.

Baker would be a great pickup, very surprised by the lack of talk of this since that rumour started.

Rioli, Castagna, Butler, Stack, Bolton, Higgins and Baker is a lot of competition for the same role, we should offer better money and opportunity to any of those last 4.

It's interesting that Higgins has been dropped a couple of times. He is a cult hero there and being dropped must hurt. I'd play him in the midfield a little more.

Last year Castagna was out of form and out of the side with Butler taking his spot. This year it has reversed. You'd have to think Butler still has plenty to offer.

This thread has gone away from the 'thanks, we will wait and see' philosophy of past years. Mind you, simply stating you don't think something is true isn't a crime either.

Posters can post their information and sit back and wait to be proven right (hopefully with some humility), and those who have a poor track record of making things up will be weeded out eventually.

It's a rumour thread, not a facts thread. Let's not take it too seriously.

We're anxious to get to the final destination. We can see it now more than what we ever have. Yet at the same time we are still a long ways to go. Stomach churning stuff, really. These threads inspire that type of behavior . Find the line, draw it in the sand and stick to it. For the most part the mod group, as a whole, do it well and I appreciate it.

Don't forget Setterfield. He could be the best of the lot. I also think Cuningham will play midfield as well as will O'Brien and wait until we see a fit Kennedy.

Watching our last few games has highlighted to me just what a valuable trade the Setterfield trade was.

It is like he has suddenly realized his place in the team is assured and his confidence has increased exponentially.

So easy for us to forget this young man has played only 20 games or so. I can't wait to see what his next year will bring, given a proper pre-season and the added experience.

He could make that number 43 famous again.
