What I am saying is some hawkes fans are second only to the north board for claiming players are 'locked in' to joining them then all going missing once said player signs with their current club or goes somewhere else.

Told you so! As i said earlier AFL played a big part in cogs staying. Was a couple hundred thousand added to his contract by the AFL in endorsements etc. They couldn’t have another basket case like Gold Coast!

Personally think it's payments outside the cap.

I have it on good authority that there is a salary cap squeeze and you can't afford to retain players because everyone takes overs to stay.

(Except Shiel, Lobb, Scully, Smith, Treloar, Wilson, Griffen, Johnson, Patfull and Deledio)
