Absolutely Elite?

So his best is Cripps, Bont, Fyfe level?
For very short periods of time, yes. He has turned a few games in the Crows favour, but like I said he's been very inconsistent which I think is a lot to do with his fitness. He tends to drop in and out of games, but a guy that can win contested ball like he does, tackle well, and go forward and take a big contested mark is pretty damn handy.

He's clearly not on the level of those guys overall, but he has a number of elite attributes IMO.

He is a good player at his best not elite brad crouch though yes

Yippeee - I for one am glad to hear that Martin is close to a lock!
I don't think I can handle another close miss

Also, hearing that we are not overpaying for Martin in both trades and $$$ is a bonus

Wonder what the approach with Martin is, and whether well get some players to meet n greet (Crippa, Doc, SPS).

Update on how it goes would he appreciated in the coming days, fellas!

Cheers

I think people underestimate how good Jack martin would be for us. Would be an absolutely huge addition.

One of our biggest flaws is delivery inside forward fifty. One of our biggest strengths is our clearance winning and inside ball use.

Jack Martin presents about the best chance in the comp right now to pick up an elite ball user (he's in the J.Kelly, Whitfield etc class of ball user). With him position himself outside the contest, receiving passes from Crippa and Curnow and delivering the ball onto the chest of McKay, Mcgovern and Charlie, it will create an immediate improvement in our side.

He would raise our average score by three goals if he came into our side. I'd expect him to score 1 and have two more score involvements each and every week.

Massive upside.

Dunno 'bout Hugh but I'd love us to lock in Talia. I think he's a HUGE part of the puzzle we need and would complete our spine.
Talia at FB & Jones at CHB would be the foundation of a VERY miserly defence, which can also generate run.
Then all we need is a hardy grunty Mid to do the mudwork for Crippa.
You may have missed someone. Someone who generates more offence than Talia.

I'm hearing the Crows players TCP eluded to are Crouch brothers, Gallucci, Betts, Greenwood and Talia.

Crows are the new GWS.

Have so much young talent they’re having a fire sale to fit the rest under their Salary Cap.....

I’ve heard the relationship between Sammy and Jack is very strong from their junior days. In fact I wouldn’t be surprised if it was the Sammy connection that got this done. Don’t know how we could do it, but the third leg of the trio would be to get Cedric Cox from the Lions. Another Halls Creek product who is strong with the other two.

Setterfield will be the best that came in last year, in the long run. When I read that post by BringBackSOS I was surprised he forgot him.

My Apologies, yeah there were a handful of other trades over the past few years that have and will add to our side in the future including Setterfield.

I was rather impressed by him this year, especially given how few matches he managed to play for the Giants.
