Looks like I'm wrong. Daniher clearly surplus to their needs. When they get rid of him at least up forward they'll have... *Looks at Essendons list* Shaun McKernan.

What have you seen that’s changed your mind from ‘they’d be mad’?

I know SOS would have had conversations with just about every player manager but with all the storm around Whitfield, Taranto is the one I'd want.

Would give 2020 first and a good young player for him but they'd want far more.
Would absolutely want and would happily pay. I would think far more gettable than Whitfield.

Agree but don’t reckon we’d get anywhere near TT. Ian Hill on the other hand has the makings of something special and I reckon he’s gettable. Maybe box him up with Bonar.

Id be astounded if essendon played hardball with Daniher, they've mismanaged him for 2 years. Bloke probably wants a fresh start, i think itd be beneficial for both partys. Essendon get pick 8 and maybe a 3rd either trade or get a decent young bloke, while clearing Danihers salary and the risk of him possibly not playing much if at all.

Sydney take all the risk here.

Yeah but dodoro

Not sure, I don't really want to lose any of the kids we have and the ones we'd be content losing wouldn't likely appeal.

Depends on who they'd want. One for the future maybe...

It's always a tough call Matty, especially trying to lure a Taranto.

Pick 8 as a minimum, but fringe players won't cut it, so you would have to add the likes of a McKay, Charlie, Weiteing etc for them to even start negotiations. I wouldn't consider players at that level

Anyone else, of the young bucks and we would have to offer up more picks

Unfortunately, we are not in the Taranto type player ballpark without losing a top 6 youth

Sorry SB wasn’t trying to upset people on here but you don’t get what you want in the trade period without giving up something and of all our young guys with some currency I’d be least upset by losing Dow he just seems to turn the ball over far to much for my liking but I guess you rate him higher than I do and that’s fine.
Fisher on the other hand I love because he always looks to be giving his all and makes things happen and has that spark, definitely wouldn’t trade Fisher

Fisher will need to improve drastically next year to be in the 22 by the end of next season.
Hopefully this year proves to be a aberration compared to how he tracked his first two seasons.

Absolutely nothing. Only idiots (aka Melbourne) trade quality key forwards in their prime. They are difficult to draft, take ages to develop, and it's very hard to find a club dumb enough to trade one. You also can't win a flag without them.
