TDK is 5 years away from being physically the type of ruckman who can bang bodies with the best week in week out and through finals. Query whether that fits our timeframe.

SOS is SOS. He's not the easiest going individual.
Some will say he's arrogant and dismissive of others, but that's just the way he is.
2-3 for week in week out. Will most likely play reasonable time at some stage next season if he can get an effective pre season in. I see him splitting time as the prime ruck in 2021 before fully assuming the mantle in 2022.
I think we will take one this year, I recall Agresta saying in his interview on afl.com.au that this years draft has good ruck depth

Indeed he did, but we may not have the draft picks to take the best option. The over riding factor I see was also alluded to by Agresta, one Henry Walsh
has already played U18 rep as an underager. 202cm + already, "little" brother of Sam, I see as the target, and would fall in the perfect age four years after signing TDK. (Crippas "little" brother Josh is also a ruck of a similar age, but has not been seen at WAFL colts yet, so impossible to gauge).
Two bob each way would be to pick up semi developed Jeremy Goddard doing decent things in the WAFL this year, who would probably need a season in the twos, but a break glass option, and run the gauntlet.
Jackson, Bryan and Comben are the prominent players for this draft. Utility overager Ben Kelly and 21 year old Goddard are among a number of other options.
Cameron, Lynch, Jones, A Smith
Development was injury interrupted. The 2-3 years mentioned was until TDK could be expected to assume the no. 1 mantle, not until he becomes a "superstar".

Think it always made more sense. GWS also more desperate for a ruck. At least we helped boost up his pay packet by entertaining him by going through a medical.
Also confirms for me that the one "source" of goss I have at Geelong was either FOS, or Jacobs management played Geelong like a fiddle.

5 years is a long time. Have a look at Tim English who is in his 2nd year and holding down a number 1 ruck spot and he isn't exactly built like tarzan at the moment.

To me, TDK doesn't have the body of a Gawn, Goldy, Mumford, Kruze....he's a Grundy shape through and through for mine.
On that note, I'm not going to be shocked to see Grundy head to the Crows. Pies targetting Cameron, Jacobs to GWS....where there's smoke....
Wonder if it would mean Reilly OBrien was up for grabs?

Sounds like Sauce saw some sense if he is going to GWS. Will have 2 years of unfiltered first ruck time, with the added bonus of a flag chance or two.
Never made any sense coming here if Flip was coming.
Means we'll likely be going in with Kreuz as #1 - hopefully off a full pre-season, Flip the backup and TDK taking on extra responsibility in 2020 for the NB. If he progresses well, I'd love to see him (and I reckon the coaches would be putting it to him to) overtake Phillips as #2 ruck across the season, pushing for some berths in the seniors.

Neither did Gawn at that age...
Look, Grundy and - on current projection - English are outliers on the ruck breakout scale. Most take until their mid-20s to even establish a spot. O'Brien from Crows has paid his way in the seconds, like many do - including Gawn.
Keep TDK hidden away, working on his craft and give him a few pings at the big time when his form warrants it. Then, when Kreuz retires (hopefully not for another 2-3 years) - The King can have his coronation.
