Are you seriously suggesting that Brad and Matt Crouch are worth both #1 and #2?

Matt is a very, very good footballer at age 24 and Brad is a pretty solid set of steak knives at age 25 (26 when the season starts next year). Together in 2018 they averaged 63 disposals (22.5 contested), 10.5 clearances, 1 goal, 7 marks, 8.5 tackles, 7.1 I50's, 4.2 R50's, with very similar numbers in 2017.

If anything Adelaide might have to send pick 23 or 28 back as the actual steak knives to make up the numbers.

Having said that there's no way in hell Adelaide are letting go of Matt Crouch I don't think.

I would have thought the rain would have made it an even more desirable tactic, because it made controlling the ball and doing u turns bloody hard, thus smashing it forward to gain metrage and have your mids running on to the footy without needing to turn should have been even more effective.

Not disputing that, just saying that the clear weather in the 2018 PF allowed our mids to be more dominant. In the rain against GWS, they were extremely fumbly and got pants by opponents who were clean with their ball handling.

If Brad is going and they are looking at getting Grundy in return you’d think they might look at it.

Given the GCS' history of a god awful midfield and inability to keep or attracts players they'd be mad not to consider the Crouch brothers for picks 1 and 2 if a deal came up IMO.

Really!!??? You can’t just put up such a provocative statement and not state the source. There’s a lot of unsubstantiated info about Mason such as he will go blind if he stays. But none of it is backed up. At least Beeg said where his info on Jenkins came from. Then it is up to us to believe it or not.
Sam McClure said it on Trade Radio.

I can't see us trading away Sidebottom. The type of move that can really ruin morale around the changeroom.

If someone wants out; for more money, to go home or for more opportunities then sure, you can cop that, but actively shopping around Sidebottom who's a good player, is loyal, is a good person, leader and is allegedly playing for below market value already...

Has s**t written all over it.
I was kidding with that remark throwing up Sidebottom's name - more a joke referring to writing the media off yet acting like random arseholes on social media are somehow worth reporting on here.

You mean like Richmond (Everybody's new "Family and Cultural awareness club") is doing with Ellis and McIntosh?
Loyalty and footy clubs yeeeeesh!

Suns lose: Pick 1 and Ben King
Gain: Pick 4 B.Crouch

Crows lose: ROB and B.Crouch Pick 4
Crows gain: Grundy Sicily Pick 11

Pies lose: Grundy
Gain: Ben King and ROB

Hawks gain Pick 1
Lose Pick 11+Sicily

Is that fair for all parties?

Suns getting shafted in that deal. Adelaide winning overall. I like seeing these sort of trade ideas though.

Trading Grundy and Steele. Big Footy never changes

Well its either trade him now for something useful and with the intention of going after Cameron at the end of 2020, or run the risk of no contract being done and losing him to free agent. The Pies won't give him 7 years. So it's really in Grundy's court here if he can get 5 years. But the club needs to explore the option of trading him.

We would get salary relief and more in the bank to keep Elliott.

Doubt he's on any more than $300-400K so by the time you pay for his replacement you're not talking about huge relief.

One thing to consider though is that in 2018 Josh Kennedy took 11 Marks against us and this year in the GF Jack Riewoldt kicked 5. It would’ve been handy to have Darcy last year and if we made the GF this year he would definitely have been a great option on the Richmond talls.

We didn’t have Roughie in 2018, so I think we have all fwd lines match very manageable in 2020 if we move Moore fwd.
Remember Langdon was a Star in the 2018 final series - every bit as good as Darcy this year.

That would essentially mean that Adelaide get Grundy for Crouch (unders) and GCS spend pick 1 and 2 on Crouch (way overs) 🤔

Hmmmmm, maybe re-read the post.
