Because we give them 9, they give us a second back. All that does is upgrade their second

Didn’t you see my tongue in my cheek....I can't see Whitfield ever leaving GWS. By all reports he loves it there.
His management will posture him leaving for a juicy contract (nowhere near as hard as Cogs) and he'll re-sign.

The ticking a number of boxes for us bit I thought hinted at the mid we need. We need another ruck too but I can't see that being what they were referring to.

Ended up being 11 (Jye Caldwell) & 45 (Ben Cavarra) for Devon Smith, 26 (Rhylee West) & 38 (Irving Mosquito). By the points its 1676 for Smith & 1221 which approximately values Smith at pick 39.
Clearly GWS wanted the early pick to target Caldwell and were happy to let Smith go pretty cheap to make it happen.
Black cat?Great clue, surprised everyone hasn't guessed the answer
You do realise that pick 9 for Papley and 25 is no chance? If that happened Sydney have given up Papley to upgrade their second round pick 25 to pick 9.You do realise we currently don’t actually have a second round pick at the moment - so how do you propose that we trade for Martin.
More importantly how do you propose we trade for Papley.
Was thinking the same but was not going there....Black cat?

Yes, and a big jump up the order it is, too.You do realise that pick 9 for Papley and 25 is no chance? If that happened Sydney have given up Papley to upgrade their second round pick 25 to pick 9.

Under your proposal we trade out pick 9 only from your post and get Papley and their second round pick 25, that puts Papleys value at 27. Absolutely zero chance they do that.Enlighten us with your proposal.
Because if you can engineer our pick 69 for Papley I’m all for it.
Besides, they should be more worried about what the deals result with rather than pick numbers. You do realise that pick 9 for Papley and 25 is no chance? If that happened Sydney have given up Papley to upgrade their second round pick 25 to pick 9.

Takes over Kreuzers jobGrundy is essentially another midfielder the way he plays.
Helps midfield
Ready made ruck before tdk
Get out option from defence![]()

Please stop with the Grundy stuff.
Elite players essentially don't move between Carlton, Essendon and Collingwood.
A pointless discussion.
Opportunistic swoopers, really?![]()
