Time to drop it to 1 week (5 business days). The clubs will complain that it's not enough time to get stuff done but everyone knows these talks have been going on all season, they always posture until the last day or 2 before actually agreeing to anything. That will happen if the trade period was a month long or 3 days long, so make it shorter. 5 days is enough.
