I'm not sure teams would release them from their contract though if it's a sideways swap like that? I imagine GWS have him signed on for longer than this year so I doubt they'd be willing to let him go to an opposition club if it was for the exact same role.

If the club was smart this would have been the perfect time to weed out the people who leak information by telling different people different coaches have got the job. If they had chosen but needed to get the review out of the way first, then adding lots of noise about who it is would have added theatre to it too.

I have no problem at all with either of Mark Williams, Brad Scott or Ross Lyons having a role at the club - in that order of preference.

ive always loved how Mark Williams interacts with the Tigers players on the bench. You can see he really cares about them and wants them to succeed. We need some of that selflessness at our club rather than the self preservation mob we’ve been stuck with.
