2019 List Manager Summary:
* List Mangler Adrian Dodoro has been frantic these past two weeks, going back and forth on Joe Daniher, drawing a line in the sand that has other clubs confounded.
Craig Cameron of the Suns, meanwhile is still brimming from winning the $50m draft lottery - sullied in part by the fact that they were only ever the one club in said lottery. His haul, however has made him drunk on currency and changed .
Justin Reid aka the Last Man Standing at Crowland has been busy moving the deck chairs on his 2020 roster aka the Titanic, trying hard to find players to line up with Tex Walker next season.
Freo Football Operations Manager Peter Bell has the reigns for the Dockers this offseason amidst a cleanout only bettered by a rich coffee enema and that of the Adelaide Football club. His results so far are as enriching as the feeling of a coffee enema.
There has been one shining light amidst the weeds this trade period. A stealthy cheetah waiting in the grass - with many believing he's timing his strike perfectly - set to bring in all of the club's major targets with a few tricks also still up his sleeve.
With less than three days left for these List Managers to finalise their work, we wait in anticipation to see just how the end of the 2019 Trade Period plays out.

This may have already said but I'm gonna say it again. I can understand why Sydney would be so aggressive regarding Papley, but given the free-kick AFL have given Gold Coast I cannot understand their attitude toward Martin. It's greed pure and simple on their part. I get they're a basket-case of a club but that's on them and shouldn't affect a player like Martin who is uncontracted and wants out.

I know it's late and won't happen... But why wouldn't * be sounding out Patton. Get 5 and 9, trade 9 to Brisbane for 16 and 21, use 21 for Patton. Lose Daniher, get Patton, 5 and 16...
I thought he'd built a list out of mecurial small-framed mids and flankers who win when they can play open, unaccountable footy but fall to pieces as soon as they're required to defend or if the opposition has a decent ruck and at least 4 good KPP players.

Re Martin - We want the core of the trade to be a 2nd rounder, GC want a 1st.
Instead of starting at a 2nd rounder and then overcompensating them with steak knives (that they don't need), why not give GC a first and get them to overcompensate us for giving them what they want/need. I think they might be willing to overpay us in later picks, which are almost inconsequential to them at this point.
Maybe something like 9 + 2020 2nd (~26) for Martin, 15, 58 and 2020 3rd (~45).
I think Martin's value is ~25. The above deal at best guess values him ~33 (depending on future picks). Which is probably unders, but that's what we get for helping GC move further up the draft order.
The main cost to us is downgrading 9 to 15, but this might be on-traded to Syd anyway. So no big deal. Syd is probably on-trading that pick to *, so they don't stress. Maybe we also send Syd GC's 2020 3rd, which will help them with points next year.
We also downgrade pick 20-30 to 40-45, but that's better than losing that pick altogether. Maybe we get some junk steak knives back, which we might need this year (assuming 9 goes, and we keep both our picks in the 40s, our current 3rd best pick is 76).
I think this is a win-win. Thoughts? (knowing that Blue__Balls, Jimmae and only a couple of others have bothered to make it down this far).
