Bens done nothing wrong in his first season.
Nothing wrong I agree, but also hasn’t done anything exceptional and is a long way from anyone’s best 22 side. We cut Pat Kerr despite family connection and he had prob shown enough in the vfl and his limited opportunities at afl because we had too many players in front of him, unless a huge turn around in form the way I read the tea leaves is at the end of this season young Ben might find himself in the same position.

Nothing exceptional? It's his first year, my tea leaves tell me something different, give him a bloody chance.

happy to give him a chance, I just think the comparison to Kerr is legit. Both talls, in areas we have quite good depth. Both were late draft picks, who arguably would have been lucky to be drafted if not for family connection to the club. I think Kerr was extremely unlucky to be delisted, but he is and will always be behind McKay in he pecking order and Ben seems like he has less upside than Kerr... No one would be happier if he proves me wrong.

Based on what, exactly?

Tom Browne reporting it on twitter and Dribble . and yes, he has a worse track record than a broken clock, but given all the mumblings on this board over the past 6 weeks or so, I can't help but fear that SOS will leave after the draft. (Barass's mail is usually solid)

Every time our club looks like turning the corner and finally moving upwards, a shit sandwich like this happens.

The only comfort I would get if this happens is if we poach the recruiting guru from Brisbane or the Swans (Kinnear Beatson ?)

The lack of comment from the CFC about the Browne rumour is telling imho (although as mentioned, it was Tom Browne, so who knows)

Ben looks a bit vanilla to me.

Losing Stephen Silvagni at this point in time is definitely not a shit sandwich.

According to Tom Browne so take this with a grain of salt but silvagni to leave after draft period and blues planning to poach kinnear beatson from the swans to replace him

Will be very sad if it's true. Will be even sadder if we chase the guy that thought blowing half your cap on a tippet buddy pairing was a good idea.

Tom Brown being the one running with it makes me happy. Caro saying it weeks ago and barass agreeing makes me less so.
If we sack SOS for kinnear beatson then this club hasn't learnt from past mistakes. Absolutely a shocking decision. The members deserve better.

Have you seen his record? Worse than Shane Rogers.
