But it highlighted the fact that Stephen was reporting directly to the board at the time and contrary to messiah rumours he had no part in major decisions.

I think you have been unknowingly highlighting the issue in your last few posts. As far as I’ve been told, in previous years SOS reported to the board, lately the board, through the CEO have made a change and SOS isn’t happy about it. There isn’t personal issues with anyone but issues regarding, final say, reporting and accountability.

You can’t have any staff members, who bypass the CEO.

Agree - is anyone asking the question "Can we get a better List Manager than SOS" - I'm sure Liddle is (even though I actually think SOS's departure is more his own decision.).

Again, I have some contacts in the industry who speak so highly of Liddle - said he will leave no stone unturned getting the best people in to do the job and make the club better.
Even if he has to do it himself, eh?
Surely he has his own work to do rather than go rogue if other staff disagree with him.

Let's see if the Pres/board has the foresight to step in and set the record straight for all involved to follow.

I hope that SOS stays and can work out a way forward with the vision the board and CEO want to implement. As far as I know, there’s no issues with anyone, just the way in which his role is structured.

What‘s your assessment of the current list at this point in time?

Better than it was before SOS took over.

But their are still gaps - obviously with our small forwards, I love Eddie and glad he’s back, but he’s not a long term option.

We still haven’t addressed our need for a small lock down defender, opposition small forwards kill us and have done so for many years now - and no Lachie Plowman is not the solution.

And we don’t have enough mid field depth.

But otherwise all ok.

;)

Because it’s the CEOs job to be in charge of all aspects of the club, to determine how the club is structured and run, to get the best outcome. The club has appointed a CEO to implement change and to improve our organisation from top down.
By having staff members not accountable to the CEO, the CEOs position is undermined.

I'm sorry, but if SOS was bypassed with the approaches of Deluca, Papley and Ellis, then he absolutely must stay.

Whoever produced those names and tried to buy in at (save for Deluca) the alleged prices should be fired or asked to stay in their lane.

Question for all.

If the club was unhappy with SOS, do you think they would let him go to the draft? Why would you risk such an important part of the year, with someone in charge, that you don’t trust.

The fact SOS is still here and is still in charge, suggests to me, there is no bad blood and if he leaves it will be mutual.

Is CFC’s main objective to achieve its on-field and off-field goals, or is it to ensure that the CEO’s position is not undermined?
