When you think about it, this league is really just one big Stanford Prison Experiment.
I’m not sure what the fuss is about. What good is power if you don’t occasionally abuse it?! NaturalDisaster does it all the time.As you are all no doubt aware, the committee is currently in discussions with the admin regarding the All-SFA selection for this season. This process is usually full of statistics, debate and, more often than not, melts. The administrators role in all of this is to tender nominations, put together a draft, and then facilitate discussion regarding potential changes to the side.
I have received a copy of the administrators provisional side, and it seems that he has instead used this process to attempt to slide himself into the All-SFA team. As BRAB would say, this is base corruption at worst, and the case of an inflated sense of self at best.
Ant Bear has named himself on a forward flank. From what I understand, no one has mentioned him as a candidate outside of his own captain (who I think is compromised due to their close relationship, there is a history of pushing agendas here).
por_please_ya, I Dont Care, spookism, brahj, GreyCrow, CakeEater, Hatchy1992, WFL, Mantis Toboggan, AuntyBlindEye, DERO, and harry000 all had superior season statistically (averaging more exie points per game). Some of these were very superior. Of these, por_please_ya stacks up most favourably whilst brahj would be short odds favourite to take away the Mobbs (Mooch gets in with 12 ppg due to winning the Fred, brahj misses out with 7 ppg). Many of them have a superior post count than AB. I do not remember the work of an administrator being part of the judging criteria for All-SFA.
In his nomination Dingster listed him as playing 11 games, in the excel document he was listed at 16. This is, apparently, because he played 11 in the midfield and 6 forward. He played 6 games at FF, kicked 9 goals, and moved to a premium midfield role. My theory is that he realised his lack of goals wasn't going to get him nominated so he went into a different plumb position. Now he can, sort of, justify himself as being named on a forward flank.
So what would motivate AB to slide himself in? As I mentioned earlier, last season saw him become tied as the person with the second most All-SFA jerseys. He said at the time he didn't know (which I find hard to believe), but he certainly would have known this season. This takes him clear second. More broadly, it's a continuation of the glory hunting and reputation building that he has made a career of.
In my opinion, he cannot possibly make the side based on his qooty stats and general posting this season. Administrative work shouldn't be counted. He has actively removed himself from writing and responding to media. Captains, this should not be accepted. Fulfill your duty to this league.
Changing the vote of no confidence / ousting rule without committee input, and with no publicity. Making executive rulings that go against league rules and the wishes of captains. And now sliding himself into All-SFA. At what point do we say no more?

I just think that the role of SFA Administrator should be held to a higher standard. It's pretty much up there with Prime Minister and Australia Test Captain.I’m not sure what the fuss is about. What good is power if you don’t occasionally abuse it?! NaturalDisaster does it all the time.
You’re many things, Noobz, I didn’t think naive was one of them.

'If SFA Administrators were Australian Test Captains' would make an interesting thread.I just think that the role of SFA Administrator should be held to a higher standard. It's pretty much up there with Prime Minister and Australia Test Captain.

I can neither confirm or deny he was responsible for teamsheet submissions and match tactics this season....
I reckon Hate would be closest to Hughes. You would say that, Kim Hughes.
One is a liar. One is a cheat....I just think that the role of SFA Administrator should be held to a higher standard. It's pretty much up there with Prime Minister and Australia Test Captain.
