You are determined to see the things you're looking at. Forgive me if I sound a little bit amused, because you're not really manifesting as someone who is reading what they're writing with any sense of logic or much beyond the rhetorical to add veracity to their posts. You missed my edit.
Every single day that he didn't fix this situation to a satisfactory level, was a mistake.
Being unprofessional is not a 'single mistake'.
'Being unprofessional is not a "single mistake"' indeed!
Liddle is new to being a CEO, and he will make mistakes. I've already said I was against the appointment initially, and I've already said I thought that, were he not currently under contract for a set amount of time, he'd be out of his position for this. However, your inability to see potential unprofessionalism from SOS, due to who he is and that you do not want him to leave (for what are entirely valid reasons, I might add), in order to add moral and rhetorical weight to your argument does you no favours.
You are emoting, rather than reasoning. This is a reasonable reaction, given that what you are discussing is something we all are passionate about. But when one feels rather than thinks, they are immediately subject to overreaction, and your commentary towards our 'basket case' status isn't assisting your argument either.
It is in the media's interest to simplify this down to a confrontation between SOS and Liddle; it allows them to create tired old tropes out of the two of them. We have no idea what went on, if Lloyd was involved, what if anything the rest of list management had to do with it; the club has not informed us as to this, and nor should they.
I suppose my question to you after all this would be, given the facts themselves stay the same (Liddle remaining, the clubs releases being what they are, SOS leaving) what would make you feel better about this?
