They don't get everything right at this football club, but it seems they sure as hell did in this case. Wonderful effort.

From what I read, 6-12 months was the diagnosis.get so emotional with all of this stuff. I have 2 kids of my own and I can not even imagine what the family is going through. I was incredibly happy to see little Kyron with a huge smile on his face, little super star. Life really is not fair some times.
Just to clarify, is there no chance he can survive? or is there some hope? Really wish there was.
Lovely post. This reminds me of my best mate who also had inoperable brain cancer... he was 42 and a mad Pies fan. Obviously the young fella deservedly got more attention but the club were just as great for my friend when they found out his plight without the publicity... Travis Cloke came and surprised him at our cricket training, he got 3 signed guernseys, one by the whole team, one personally dedicated by Pendles his favourite player, and one team signed to auction off at a fundraiser planned for him. He was so chuffed, he kept the pic of Travis Cloke and him as his profile pic until he died. Then the club also gave him 10 tickets to an Anzac Day clash which is one of the best, lasting memories I have with my mate, we had a great time. And he kept in contact with people from the club until he died and the club posted a bereavement message on the website when he passed away.
So they go to similar extents for anyone who is facing tragic circumstances and really do everything they can to send a bit of joy to someone suffering a terminal illness, whether it gets publicised or not. It's just fantastic, I know it meant so much to my mate that his heroes reached out to him when he was going through such a tough time, even though he was an adult it meant the world to him.
To see them go above and beyond again for Kyron makes me very proud to be a supporter of this great club.
I was thinking back to this moment from last season. I searched and found the Facebook page set up for Kyron and according to the most recent update, Kyron's train is reaching the end of the line.
Last year it was said the boy had 6-12 months. He's made it 11 and I hope he can make it a little longer. They stopped radiation a few months ago, and now it's about managing whatall time he has left.
I know we make a big deal out of these things when it touches our sport and love of Collingwood, before fading out of our minds. I know with other headlines around the world the death of a little boy with a horrible lot in life doesn't really matter.
But for whatever reason, to an American living in Finland who by total happenstance supports Collingwood, reading up on Kyron has made me cry more than I have in a long time. Fight on Kyron!
Read about this a couple of days ago on twitter and had a lump in my throat. Life isn’t fair at all sometimes but what a great thing our club did for this legend and his family!I was thinking back to this moment from last season. Well said Finn and never underestimate the value of a single voice or a single memory.
Keep fighting little man, we were with you then and we're with you now.

What an amazing kid. Full of courage and smiles.
Really saddened to hear he has passed away, sobering reminder about how precious life is.
Rest peacefully little fella xx
