SIX DEGREES OF MOBBS - THE THEORY OF MOBBS LAW
The Sweet FA community is one big interconnected, complex web of clubs, players, administrators and personalities. At the centre of this universe of course is the league's creator, Mobbs.
Six degrees of separation is the idea that all people are six, or fewer, social connections away from each other. But with Six Degrees of Mobbs we take that one step further. In the long and storied history of this community, it's fair to say that all roads lead to Mobbs.
But with a competition spanning nearly 20 years, we have seen in excess of 2000 players come and go from the game, can we possibly trace every last one of them back to him? Let's put the theory to the test using a series of connections and relationships known as the 'Mobbs Law' or 'Six Degress of Mobbs'
In what would be a little known fact, every single current player in the competition can be linked back to Mobbs with just a maximum of three 'links' or degrees.
Even BRAB's 42 degrees are no match for 'Mobbs Law' as evidenced below.
Well we can stretch the theory out even further. Each and every single player* that has ever pulled on a guernsey to take the field in the Sweet FA can be traced back to Mobbs within six degrees.
From the Hurricanes to the Blues Brothers, the Junkyard Dogs to The Mod Squad, all of them can be linked directly back.
So on a day where we celebrate the great man notching his half ton, the gauntlet's been thrown down, the challenge is set, bring your most obscure players you can possibly find and let's get to testing 'The Mobbs Law'.
