***************************************************

Just like to thank Aphrodite and the other Carlton mods who started the Bluemours NON Discussion Thread and who have kept it free of chat over the past few years.

It helps so much when you just don't have the time to read through this thread, cheers and great job.

Ralph might be a pain in the ass at times but he has a lot more street cred than Tom Browne

Stephen Coniglio checking to find a loophole in his contract so he can become the third Giants walkout.

Dodo apparently is coming under fair bit of pressure from within. No finals forever. Has been list boss over this duration. Some board members are getting itchy palms to draw the guillotine. Maybe he has an imperative this season to get things moving to calm the inner rumblings. The Danaher trade still wrankles with many re ego getting in the way of what was best for the club. Makes sense, two top 10 draft picks would be looking a great deal right now.
If that's the case, you have to wonder why he's still employed.
His lists haven't won a final for 16 seasons now. How many more coaches do you need to sack before you realise the problem is the common denominator?

What they paid for him is irrelevant.

We paid nothing for Martin, doesn't mean we should accept a 4th rounder if he was out on contract end of next year and requested a trade.

Saad has certainly improved since joining Essendon, I think in this draft a late first or early second (18-24 before academy bids, potentially 20-28 after all those moves take place) should be sufficient.
Top 3 B&F in each of his 3 seasons at the club. Thats elite return since he has been there. I think your right has to be late 1st round early 2nd and something.. not sure what, but that would be fair value.

So much for the naysayers saying that our second half would prevent players wanting to come to us.

Insiders - players and player agents - saw it for what it was. A bloody brutal year kinda ruined by a wet weather slog against North, a difficult 3-match run in a second hub in WA, a trip to Darwin and a return to yet another hub in QLD.

We are much closer to the team that we demonstrated ourselves as being in the first half of the year than what we were in the latter part of the season.

Not one to count chooks before they've hatched but good decision Zac.

Which players have nominated they want to come to us?
