Pendlebury has been very open about wanting at least one more season without the captaincy, so I'm not sure we should all be so quick to assume he'll be the captain again next year.

This was re-iterated by Buckley when his captaincy for 2020 was announced earlier this year.

I'm not so sure why so many are keen to omit Sidey from the leadership group. His indiscretion this year has no bearing to his on-field performances. If anything, it hopefully makes him a better leader. He stays for mine.

If we look at how committees are set up in the non-footy world, I think there should be a less established player in the group - a voice for the less comfortable and less established. Noble is my dark horse. Comes across as a hard worker with a good head on his shoulders.

De Goey is clearly in a similar mould to Swan, and Swan didn't belong in the leadership group either.
