Official Match Thread Season 31 Round 9 - Baghdad Bombers vs Dragons FFC at Abdu Prison

SG1 gate to planet P23-796 following intel provided by the Tok’ra that could lead them to find an ancient Asgard weapon, capable of defeating the Goa’uld once and for all. They arrive to find a dreary day with the ominous signs of thunder & lightening bearing down on them, nothing but overgrown grass and creepy trees surrounds them.

serial_thrilla has a bad feeling as soon as he arrives, the hairs on the back of his neck stand up. Antonio BlueVein completes an aerial sweep with the drone, no signs of movement, still something doesn’t seem right.

They wade through the knee-high grass and into the creepy forest, P-90’s and Zat guns at the ready. “Can you hear that?” Bonz whispers, “hear what?” says Santoz “it’s too quiet, somethings not right” Bonz says while glancing behind them.

The team must have walked 5-6 k’s into the forest by now, still no signs of the ancient weapon the intel suggested was abandoned here centuries ago. Through the corner of his eye, Santoz spots a faint light reflection from the torch of his P-90, “GET DOWN!” yells Antonio BlueVein, suddenly the team are surrounded by Jaffa, Staff blasts and Zat shots coming at them from everywhere. serial_thrilla fires back, he takes out the Jaffa behind them, clearing the path back to the Stargate. He yells out his command “fall back to the gate!” they run, still shots being fired in every direction.

They can hear the sound of the enemy gliders approaching them quickly. Suddenly an explosion, Bonz is wounded, with large burns to his right leg he struggles to continue, serial_thrilla & Antonio BlueVein carry him back while Santoz runs ahead to the DHD and opens a wormhole back to stargate command.

The team make it out alive, just. It is clear the intel they received was dirty, a trap to lure them into an ambush, but where did it come from? Had a Goa’uld infiltrated the Tok’ra? Suddenly SG1’s next mission was clear, discover the mole within the Tok’ra’s ranks…
