IMO there's too much at stake to continue with Teague.

Big gamble either way but Clarkson or Lyon is playing the percentages. We need experience. Not just game day but also player management.

And that's just it, it's not time to gamble. We gave a couple of untried younger coaches a go and it hasn't worked out for one reason or another.

l don't see any substance to this at all, Walsh has a year left on his contract, is their most valuable player and will be offered significant money in a long term deal, probably in line to be next Captain with Weitering.

If you speak to players from the 87 premiership side Clarkson got squared up during the game after his dog shot, even Kennedy Snr made Clarkson stay on the field to cop his right whack. Seriously it's time to move on he's the best coach potentially ever.

I think there's a bit of both.
That our development has only seen the really determined/sublimely talented break through - Crippe, McKay, Walsh & Weitering.
There has to be some questioning of the recruitment process if, as rumours speculate, that players being asked to earn a start in their preferred position has resulted in them seeking alternate clubs.
I'd be curious how closely we look into personality traits during the draft interview process as we seemingly walk away with shrinking violets more frequently than most clubs.

I think, if someone's going to try to refute the specific with the general, they had better have some definitive specific examples.

I have no idea why posters continue to reference Darcy Parish in relation to our young players, likening Dow and LOBs or even SPS’s development to his, its miles off the mark, Parish was not a slow burn, like people keep claiming, in Parish‘s first season, he averaged over 20 possessions and 3 tackles per game, none of Dow, O’Brien or SPS, even in their 4th and 5th seasons are even close to that.

It’s a fair call.
Certainly Dow, who has never averaged more than 15 possession/season, is a fair way behind Parish, but Samo averaged 19 possessions and 4 tackles in 2019 (before spending the last 2 seasons being played out of position) so with a coach who plays him in his position I think he can improve a lot.
LOB is a wingman so if he improves it’ll be on much different metrics to Parish who plays completely differently.

Also, it was a different era back then. Thug acts were an accepted part of the game.
It's quite unbelievable to be honest, but we had our fair share of snipers/thugs ourselves, so i agree with you, some here can be a tad hypocritical..

I reckon Russell only stays if Clarkson is coach. He has been awful this year but he has worked well with Clarkson before hopefully they can again
