Elliott will be UFA next year. Melbourne and Brisbane were keen last year. Could see a club keen this year if a trade on the cards or UFA next year.

You need to get paid $600k for a band 2. I can't imagine a single team that would pay Elliott that.UFA? Would get band 2 you’d think as he has a lot to offer in a more functional forward line

I can’t see anyone taking on the Grundy contract. And can’t see Collingwood taking on a significant portion like Treloar. Sidebottom an interesting one. Could see him at one of the top clubs on a wing.Steele Sidebottom and Brodie Grundy. Somebody take them.
Sidebottom is cooked.I can’t see anyone taking on the Grundy contract. And can’t see Collingwood taking on a significant portion like Treloar. Sidebottom an interesting one. Could see him at one of the top clubs on a wing.
Wouldn’t get much but a change of scenery could work for him. Could still run up and down the wing.Sidebottom is cooked.
I would take that positively if I was a possible young trade in or draftee. Nothing worse than a revolving door for coachesThe fact Collingwood's board have said they want a coach for the long haul is a statement that they know the state of their list is bad, and it's going to be a long and painful rebuild.
Well at least that is something.
Sidebottom is cooked.
ftfyCould still waddle up and down the wing.
Agreed. The Saad trade was overs at the time. Don't see how one club overpaying for another player affects Maynard's potential trade value though especially since they're completely different types of player. That both play in the backline is about the only thing Maynard and Saad have in common.
Why wouldn't they? Not in their next premiership side, I may be speculating but doesn't appear to add much in leadership, still has plenty to offer a contender like Melbourne or Sydney, Collingwood needs picks and doesn't need his paycheck included in their salary cap. Wouldn't expect a first rounder for him but third rounder could be a win-winWould it even be worth trading Elliott? You'd never get 'fair' compensation due to his durability concerns
I'd rather keep a player of Elliott's talent rather than give him up for an average pickWhy wouldn't they? If you want to 'go hard on a full reset' you have do more than just offloading your dead wood. Nobody wants them.I believe Collingwood needs to go hard on a full reset. Losing some quality players in the short term will be tough, but it is necessary to build a good young team and will create some excitement for the supporters going forward.

Not just about going hard reset, you need the draft capital for Daicos and you don't want to carry to much into next season either which would hamper the rebuild.I believe Collingwood needs to go hard on a full reset. Losing some quality players in the short term will be tough, but it is necessary to build a good young team and will create some excitement for the supporters going forward.
