Bit of a nothing statement from Cripps. Didn't really go in to bat for Teague and basically said the bare minimum to not cause a fuss in the media.

He said enough to cover all bases. Keep the media at bay, not give anything away about potential moves, save face over Pickering's stupid comments, put at ease any fears of potential issue if Teague was retained.
I have to say though, this morning his comments just seemed like a counter to Pickering, but in light of the news about Clarko, there's potentially some reading between the lines to be had; players have been told that Teague is staying, media and fans have been saying that there will be a conflict between Cripps/Teague due to the comments made, patch up the hole.

Tigers are probably pretty tight on salary cap Allegedly Lynch was backended on an average of $900k per annum ( $450k first 3 years and $1.35 mill last 3 years) Dusty well over a million per year.

The difference is though Clarko has no need to do it. He will look like a massive dickhead if he did now take the job. He could quite easily sit back and say nothing. No pressure on him at all.

Hmm good point. I personally would rather one of our own take us to the promised land, and i love fast attacking footy, like how Teague has got us playing in some games.

Lyon is probably now the most likely to replace Teague, not a fan of his defensive coaching, but has taken every team he has coached, to a grand final, hmmm decisions decisions...

Why are so many so keen to throw SPS away like he was steak knifes? Cerra worth pick 6 AND SPS? - BS. Sammy was taken at pick 6 ( for good reason ) and has shown he is a terrific user who can find targets - he could be a serious asset to us with a new coaching structure and an augmented tank. Teague has always played him out-of-position - we did not draft him as a back flanker but that's where he has been forced to play. To me that's an indictment on Teague and another reason he has to go. The kid has class and I for one want to keep him as a Blue not turf him out as discounted cutlery. Tell Freo they can have Teague and a late first for Cerra: take it or leave it.

It's not being keen to. I'm sure most of us would prefer him to stay (I know some are keen to see the back of him), but the writing appears to be on the wall. A change of coach could change that of course, but he's the most obvious piece of the puzzle. We all know that if he lived up to his potential, he's worth a lot more, but you can't deny his value has taken a massive dive.
6 and SPS is probably as close as Freo will get to 2 x 1st rounders, despite SPS not currently being worth a 1st.
