No speculating on alleged 'rumours'

Thanks all!

Folks, this is the way things are here.

Posters are responsible for what they post. Moderators can not attest to the accuracy or otherwise of any rumour posted.

Moderators will intervene for a couple of reasons.

1. If a thread is threatening to be derailed because of a post.

2. If invested parties request the removal of material.

None of this draws a conclusion as to the accuracy or otherwise of the original post.

There is no need to further speculate. What will be will be.

Also, you need to remember that this thread like all parts of this forum is bound by the rules of poster conduct. If you want to express skepticism towards a rumour that's fine, but having a crack at posters who are contributors to this forum is simply not on and will be acted upon.

Simply put, don't be a dick.

Thanks all!

E Hollands has 'spent' what? 15% of his total years having 'issues' or 50% of his more mature life having these issues - people who think that kind of investment can be turned on its head should understand that 'issues' are more than superficial behaviours - they are part of a person's character and DNA after so much invested behavioural time.

Good luck to him - I reckon he is a good player when in form but the Club has 30+ other players and 100,000 supporters to care about ...

Pretty easy decision in my book - just on balance of equity alone.

Nailed it

Why I am so cautious with Elijah. A good training session or even pre season is a start, NOT proof is over any issues.

A week will not earn back trust, a pre season won’t fully either.

Even if we put him back on list, the club and players will always be cautious knowing things can change at any minute and will take a massive leap of faith more than anything

Agree on the equity aspect. The club has supported him over the past 12 months as he took time off twice to deal with personal issues which probably tied up resources, at the expense of time spent on other players.

Delisting him and encouraging him to seek other opportunities showed the club was prepared to move on from him. Maybe the mood changed slightly with the unexpected exit of Curnow, on top of the TDK and JSOS departures.

If he is relisted, it would be his third contract with the club in two years. You’d think it would be a short contract with very tight conditions, giving greater control to the club and onus on him to comply.

One fact i know about Elijah is that i have no idea what he is going through and what both he and the club have spoken about.

But i have spent enough time around to know that the CFC are not a care provider. You ***** up, gone. Did we care about Cincotta's mental health state? I believe it is fanciful to think that the club are letting him train to help his welfare, go back to your mum and dad, this industry does not allow for that otherwise all players would be welcomed to keep training and being supported.

To me it says the club have decided that his indiscretions are redeemable and it is more of an attitude and application issue rather than bad behavior, brought on by his personal issues. He still trains in the #20 and his name is still on the locker, i don't beleive that is done so that he feels good about himself. All other names have been removed.

I have a strong feeling that the club hope that he can turn the corner or we would have looked at other options for summer. Walley is training for VFL, Elijah is traing for AFL, that's fact. Are we self sabotaging so that we can say we're nice but decided not to give anyone a real chance of a spot?

The only conclusion i can come up with is that the club beleive he is worth the spot and know he is far better than anyone else we could try or they are just wasting every stakeholders time and there will be a fallout. Talk of earning players trust is pretty minor when so many seem to be behind him.

I think it is what it is, we like him and have offered him a train on spot. I for one hope he grabs it with both hands and goes back to loving playing football for the CFC as we are a better team with him in it.
