No speculating on alleged 'rumours'

Thanks all!

Folks, this is the way things are here.

Posters are responsible for what they post. Moderators can not attest to the accuracy or otherwise of any rumour posted.

Moderators will intervene for a couple of reasons.

1. If a thread is threatening to be derailed because of a post.

2. If invested parties request the removal of material.

None of this draws a conclusion as to the accuracy or otherwise of the original post.

There is no need to further speculate. What will be will be.

Also, you need to remember that this thread like all parts of this forum is bound by the rules of poster conduct. If you want to express skepticism towards a rumour that's fine, but having a crack at posters who are contributors to this forum is simply not on and will be acted upon.

Simply put, don't be a dick.

Thanks all!

This was probably Carlton’s thinking 2 years ago when we left the Suns and we gave him a second chance to play.

We need to move beyond placing the responsibility on the club, his brother Ollie or any one else for the success of his recovery - there’s been no shortage of that.

It’s time he steps up and takes full responsibility, hopefully he is and comes out stronger.

I agree the responsibility is squarely on Elijah to step up.

However I like the stance the club is taking, they are clearly thinking about culture.

Culture is a shared system of beliefs, values and behaviours. If a club can help people come together and achieve this, they are on the right path.

AFL clubs have lost the community aspect over the years, revenue generation does that. But if the mighty blues can go back in time a bit, help blokes out, maintain standards, demand excellence along the way in return for being on the list, I believe it will go a long way to seeing us succeed, something we are all desperate for.

The easy path would have been to get rid of him, so many here would have taken that option.

The AFL world is watching what’s going on, if this works out for the best, it will be viewed favourably by all. If not, we can hold our heads high and say, we tried.

Either or the club wins.

Come on Elijah, prove the haters wrong, prove to yourself your worthy, pay your debt to the club and become the champion your destined to be.
