Still think Clarko will eventuate, but we are running a process. Those of you who want swift action (media included) need to chill out. This is a thorough process that needs to be followed. People are losing their jobs and their lives are being severely affected. It's being treated seriously.

Media's is just pissed that they lost their news for the week. Sayers' will make sure this runs its course the RIGHT way and not the quick way - CERTAINLY not to appease journos.
You're going to be severely, severely disappointed

Parko came back in '92 after 3 years out of the 8, and we made a GF in '93 and finals again in '94. Surely we weren't going to sack a 3 time (at the time) premiership coach with a win record like he had.

Parko returned to coach in 91, we had missed out on finals for the two years previous to that under Jezza and then for a further two years with Parko in charge.

It's not so incredible that he could have been sacked after 94, he was sacked in 85 after 5 years of coaching us to finals including 2 premierships.

Anyway, the fact is that Parkin believed that 94 was his worst year ever as a coach and should have been replaced. He would have been had any of the three replacements approached accepted.

Ultimately the club should be guided by the review. Id love to know (no doubt never will) whether the review deemed the coach as a major shortfall in the teams performance

I love the ITK info we get and I’m sure they are good people but a lot of them were wrong today and I want a reason. Not “things change” crap I’m done with that

The way it works for me is that I know more than one trusted source! I am definitely not a journalist at all, anyway. . .

. . . from my point of view “Lyon/Cerra guided by Roos with potentially Leppitsch” is what I have consistently heard from 3 different areas.

Clarkson on paper (and 4 rounds this season) is/was excellent . . .

. . . in reality, I think we can see that he’s a little burnt out, and far less supported than he once was and a he’s bit erratic.

This week things ramped up and everyone seemed to go all ‘trade week deadline

Lyon has long loved Carlton, Clarkson has long hated Carlton.

There will be a process and the best candidate or team will win.

I would back Lyon being the next coach, surprised if he isn’t- long ago I first suggested Pyke in a cryptic quick here fun times 😜🥸) a possibility there.

👌🏼😎

Didnt we go out of the finals in straight sets in 94 ?

They are not going to get two first round picks from any club, it is just not going to happen, fair value is approx 1st round pick 6-10 & a player e.g SPS.
Unless we are challenging for a premiership next year, why would we be interested in a 29 year old, keep building the list
he could always go to the kangers in the preseason draft if they really want him to.

Why would we go after another coach when that essentially eliminates us from getting Clarkson for 2022? You said it yourself, he's having a year off.

Would you rather sign Brad Scott or Dom Pyke for 3 years?

I don’t believe Clarko would have taken the year off if he wanted the Blues job. He doesn’t have any guarantee that it will be available next season, and we’ve most likely already thrown our best offer at him.

If it didn’t convince him now, I don’t think it would convince him in a years time.

better not be - otherwise that is really poor form on Maher's behalf using Doc's illness as essentially clickbait.

Okay, it would appear that it is related to the coaching gig, good! Love Doc and hope his chemo goes smoothly and he gets back to playing.

That is one positive for Lyon. He did grow up a Blues supporter so genuinely hopes for us to do well.
