The rule of thumb is that PSD is not the frontline strategy, it is the absolute fall back position....So you really think we couldn't have got him passed North? That's 100% all I'm asking I dgaf about thoughts on the trade value or 'how Dawson would feel about going PSD'.
I thought we were in with a real chance.

Some highlights on the swans Dawson thread too
I’ve been banned...but I managed to throw in two hand grenades. Will this be the first player we’ve traded for in a long time that gets vigorous dislike from his previous club, a la Snake/Melb and Brackets/Carlton?
If you read the Sydney board right now they’re well into calling him Judas Dawson

Most in demand players that request a trade what a level of confidence that a deal could get done prior to nominating a club....
For a bottom club the PSD option provides a credible threat but it was never going to be Plan A
All clubs now operate this way
North coukd have marched CCJ straight into the PSD but they chose to get a deal done with Richmond

I guess it’s a bit similar to why none of us really dislike Lyons but some of us despise Dangerfield/SnakeThe Sydney fans saying they wish the best for Alir Alir, Hewitt but Dawson can burn in hell is so strange??
Alir Alir left for more money and opportunities and became AA and they got fu** all for him in trade capital how is that so much different to Dawson leaving and wanting to come home
Talking out of his ass. I can’t see that reported anywhereAny source on the claim there is still the pick swap? or this guy talking sh*t?

Close but no cigar.
This will make a big dent in your big footy trade reputation.
It shows you they rate Dawson over the others. The Sydney fans saying they wish the best for Alir Alir, Hewitt but Dawson can burn in hell is so strange??

Essendon and Geelong are easily the worst clubs to deal with. With the amount of players Adelaide lose to other clubs (meaning we have little leverage and lose out on those trades), we would actually be one of the better clubs to deal with.
essendon are offering a future 2nd for Bobby Hill. That seems fair to me.
he’s definitely not worth a first, so that’s a good offer
Where's the welcome thread?![]()

Thought it was a future 3rd, and Collingwood are interested now but are wary of dipping too much in to their daicos fundessendon are offering a future 2nd for Bobby Hill. That seems fair to me.

Who would be the last? Crows rarely attract any big names to the club. Betts was the last, but some thought we overpaid and no one begrudged him for leaving on that money. Gibbs was past his prime and we clearly overpaid. Everyone else we've targeted weren't stars. Will this be the first player we’ve traded for in a long time that gets vigorous dislike from his previous club, a la Snake/Melb and Brackets/Carlton?
