That's great, mate, but there's also currently no reserves competition.

And in fairness, there never needs to be if the committee and the league say no thanks. I remember successfully campaigning to be admin with a 22 round season in my list. Day one...

Correct. That's why I said before it goes forward. It's important the simming and posting group is well aware of any proposed changes before a new admin comes in and starts changing things around.
This is a good reminder that it has been six seasons since Kennedy Parker was admin. We'll be A-OK.

I should probably group these together.

Second question for Kennedy Parker: Throughout the Sweet FA's history conflict has created talking points. How will you make league operations more interesting?
My rampant deregulation is creating conflict between us, are you not entertained?

Three questions for you all:

1) do you support the return of the "Wheel of Punishment" in the tribunal for sanctions?

2) given the absolute farce this season of tribunal decisions being reversed because committee members didnt understand the rules, do we need to remove the committee from the tribunal process

3) we have had a recent spate of horrible name changes in the SFA. do you support a games ban for any idiot who renames to something of the "Bless" level of stupidity?
1) That sounds like an absurd idea. It would be like if hypothetically speaking a captain like JoshWoodenSpoon made a minor team sheet error and then were made to service requests by all of the other committee members including avatar changes, reviewing a Bombers match thread and making a cover of 'Wonderwall' by Oasis in the name of SFA "Community Service". An utterly ridiculous concept that will never occur in the league!

2) We have a tribunal BECAUSE committee members don't understand the rules. So no.

3) If you've ever had a name change, you should be disqualified from being admin.

As a current simmer I can tell you that the simmer/poster group's preference is to remain a small unified group. We have had discussions recently regarding expanding the group and the overall preference was to keep it small. Too many fingers in the pie can make it too messy and confusing.

Before this were to go forward it might be best to have a private discussion with the whole group to make sure a plan can be agreed upon and put in place.
Unless the main simming group want to be involved, it wouldn't make sense to have everyone in the one PM. Anyone involved in the reserves comp would be in a separate PM.

ok so you would have 2 simming/posting groups? one dedicated to the senior league and one dedicated to the reserves league?

Now we just need to find some players dedicated to the reserves league.

One of the ideas I would like to implement would be compiling a list of past infractions to establish a kind of Common Law for the league, and I would hope this could remove some of the need for the committee to deliberate on rulings over a period of days.

kdavva … as someone who recently retired & made a successful comeback, I have no issue with your history of having a couple of breaks

My question for you is about the length of Admin terms:

Do you believe 3 seasons is the ideal amount of time for an Admin reign?

On paper it certainly appears to be, but I think it would depend on the poster ultimately. Some admins set themselves a 3 season limit but I don't think it needs to be set in stone.

Does 9 days away in the off season count as a retirement and comeback?

I personally feel winding up at Christmas would be better but that just so happens to be three seasons this time. Or five. Or seven.

Sorry Baz

Your answer to my question is equally important

In fact, I would be interested to hear what PMBangers & Kennedy Parker thoughts are too

Oh im sorry.
Does 12 days away in the off-season count as a retirement and comeback?
Or just a desperate beg for attention?

Just remember that we only attack personas in the Sweet FA

I am just excited that I have the support of my friends in the NC at this time

Three seasons is a good length but the Christmas break gives a new admin time to put their ideas into place rather than finishing one season and bouncing straight into the next with fixturing, TOQ, rule changes, etc. An ideal time frame would be two or four seasons starting and ending at Christmas however if a 2IC model was adopted, these timeframes would be less relevant.

Playing for 3 clubs before you play 20 SFA games sounds like a desperate need for attention— but that’s just my analysis

The main purpose of it is to keep TROGLODYTE out of the main league.
Happy to scoot off. The Sweet FA has been a breeding ground for little more than general ****wittery for years now.

Which brings me to my question, and I could ask all candidates this : PMBangers Barrybran kdavva and you KP.

Over the last bunch of seasons, the management team (meaning the coalition of adminship and relevant mods) have dropped the ball on official threads, allowing a torrent of rubbish to pervade important threads such as the Signups and the Rules threads. Will you take steps to regain control (if it's not too late) of these threads to keep them generally on-point? I won't ask what the steps are, because they are obvious. But will you take them?
