Opinion Clash guernseys

In light of the debacle that is the 2022 clash guernsey, I thought it would be interesting to see what everyone thinks is our best (or least worst) clash guernsey design to date. Poll options are grouped by theme (I'm ignoring some differences like old vs new logo and minor adjustments to trim etc), and most can be seen here: Carlton Away Jumpers

Indigenous designs aren't included. I'm taking it as read that any Indigenous design makes a clash guernsey better, but that's not the question.

For me, the 2013 / 2015 design is by far the best. We're the navy blues, so for goodness sake put some navy blue on the jumper. I also don't mind the fade design from 2017 (a better pic of that one is here: https://i.pinimg.com/736x/00/94/44/00944448b7c9192e862b720d1b55d251--guernsey-nike.jpg). It managed to be a bit more interesting without being embarrassing.

2022 they just gave up I think. Not a big fan of any of them, I didnt hate the grey personally.

We’ll channel supporters down the navy blue jumpers only this season, see how the marketing goes up against this “clash”.

When I played league our home outfit was black shorts with same jumper and our away outfit was white shorts with same jumper. I preferred the black shorts because they didn't look as dirty after the first ruck - and were easier to wash.

It's just an opinion, but I get the need to have a clash guernsey although I don't agree with it.

Colloquially we are known as 'The Blues'. That's what commentators call us. All other teams are identified with an object or a place. We're identified by what colour we wear (navy blue). At worst, I could get the most recent clash guernsey (as sort of a 'negative picture'). But the new clash guernsey just has an outline of the logo.

Just wonder how it will look at the ground and on TV. Just looks too white for me...

Just commented on another thread, but I hate white on clash jumpers. Anything but white is ok with me. This year's is the worst yet.

What is wrong with:

White top with navy logo

Navy shorts and socks?

It’d look ok and there would always be a good contrast with oppo.

Plus white makes you look bigger so should give us a slight mental advantage.

I’m not sure why we haven’t blasted out an orange version….clash for cash strip & Carlton Respects rolled into 1. We already have the socks (perhaps with navy or white shorts for contrast).

That would still clash with Adelaide, Freo, Melbourne, WC and the Dogs when we play them away. If that jumper was our clash it would either need more orange or a lighter shade of blue.

Considering the clash strip is only a recent fad vs the differing white away shorts, I think we could play against any team other than GWS.
You could split between the orange & sky blue as above vs any team. Better than the white 2022 version.

Needs to have the monogram filled in to at least balance it up a bit and add some more colour to it, and it still wouldn`t clash at all.

The solid monogram is preferred or at very least bolder navy outline to highlight it. And it should be embossed.
Better than the grey they had though or the dreaded sky blue m&m.
And... for some reason I'm not entirely against some orange or chamois piping incorportated that is a nod to our past but I havent seen a design that nails it yet.

FMD. Are we going for the most Ironic? for a team that prides itself on the colour Navy Blue, to have none at all except the outline of the logo is just taking the piss. It really gets me furious. When every other aspect of the club has had the bar raised to lift their game, these ****ing jokers who are supposed to sell our brand have applied zero effort or thought. I really want to punch the person that approved that in the face.

The wolf grey looked OK in the initial marketing pictures but seemed a little different when i saw them being worn by the team. Nearly like it was a slightly different colour.

Prefer if it was a shade or two darker, but not as dark as the Giants' charcoal colour they used last year (which I thought was better than their primary outfit).
