With Yahagi signalling he wants to bring Stay Foolish out for the Melbourne Cup, he will definitely want to be bringing at least one other horse out for the Cox Plate and decent timing today with Panthalassa winning the Nakayama Kinen. Would be an ideal Cox Plate horse and id think a pretty likely candidate to travel out. Its not in any betting markets at the moment but will be very keen to see what price they throw it in as

Nah a level off that but he is a late bloomer so could improve a bit more without surprising. Would likely run ours off their legs at the Valley still though

Lys Gracieux went up $11 when it was 100% confirmed to be coming so you would want 20/1 minimum.

Was blessed to win an utterly rat shit edition last year and he is almost the same price now as he was final field when Zaaki was still in so not one to pull the trigger on early (and I think he will get beaten up a ton in Europe just like Armoury was so might even drift).

Going over the betting here as likely going to be going again on State of Rest and of the proven horses this is looking likely to be every bit as shit as last year

Zaaki - Deserved fav but getting on and form looks to be on a downward trajectory.

Moe - Surely Golden Eagle has to be a legitimate possibility.

Incent - Cooked until I see otherwise.

For mine Think It Over is the only half decent WFA horse in the market that I think is likely to go there.

If you are not on SOR already the $8 is probably still a bet - nothing here is beating him unless Incy goes full Jesus and you can just back him some time in the Spring if that appears to be the case.

Then just sit back and see which European rejects get talked up around August - Winx is the only local to stop the rot in close to a decade so no point looking to find something at home.

State Of Rest @ $8 is still a bet with connections having all but confirmed he will be there. He is $6 in a (admittedly weak) Prince Of Wales. Runs top 3 as expected and he will be equal fav this time next week I reckon
