Bitterly disappointed and frustrated by the constant potting of Tommy De Koning in this thread. Yes he has been beaten today, but I honestly believe he has never stopped trying/having a dip at all, but is still a very skinny work in progress only 22 years old. Most decent Ruckman throughout history never really start hitting their straps until age 25-26 etc.

It's a pretty physically taxing role to play in the team, especially being pretty much the sole hand there today.

Get off his back friends, we have several quality players missing and we had an off day it happens.

Everyone would have taken a 3-1 start before the start of the season, so let's not start the whole chicken little rhetoric again

But my main point, get off TDK's back. He kept on trying despite being overwhelmed.

Some of his more celebrated teammates could take a page out of his book (not naming names)

Nah he has objectively been really bad. Silvagni providing more contest in the ruck. Not saying he cant be a good player or that we havent chucked him in the deep end but he has objectively been poor.

That said our mids should have been prepared for witts to dominate. Kennedy and Cerra have been worse then Dekoning. Only Hewett has been decent.

The number of players for us who haven't shown up today is seriously concerning. Just atrocious games from Kennedy Setterfield, Cerra, Plowman, Young, Martin, Silvagni, O'Brien, Weitering and Fogarty. With De Koning getting towelled up as well, Walsh really proppy and Cripps off the field that's just far too much.

We need to show something in the last quarter - there's some serious mental deficiency on show here. The worst thing of all imo was the poor start to the third quarter. It's one thing to start badly on a Sunday night road game. It's another to completely fail to respond at all.

Mmm dunno, Luke Jackson has hit his straps already at what 18? TDK is big enough now and been in the system long enough to cop a whack.

We probably stuffed him up by only giving him circa 20% ruck work per game for the first 3 games. Big jump to doing 80% today
