Did you know he had a BBall background?
Can you sort for height please ODN?
So he has been dropped. I don’t agree with it but support it
You are right. For sure, but it's not every week, and there are others who can do the same.
When GWS were coming at us last weekend, it wasn't JSOS who raised the bar and dragged the team with him, it was Walsh and Saad. Sometimes it's Crippa putting the team on his back, other times it's Harry or Charlie grabbing a game by the throat, or Weitering and Docherty putting their bodies on the line to save a goal.
There's a bit of a risk in attaching the club's "spirit" to a single player. Jack gives his all, respect him immensely for that, but if the list of available players and their positions/form dictates that he's 23rd or 24th man, either outright or because he's been overworked and that's affecting his game, then that's just how it is. He'll respond, I'm sure. We'll tinker. Maybe TDK will struggle to acclimatise to a 70/30 forward/ruck role and JSOS will walk back in. Maybe it's a horses for courses thing, and we want to be able to select one of TDK/JSOS based on the ruck setup we'll be facing.

Silvagni 'disappointed' after axing for Blues' must-win game - Silvagni 'disappointed' after axing for Blues' must-win game
Boy, would really sting for a guy like JSOS who's been around since the start of the rebuild to miss out on finals due to being squeezed out of the team when we finally make it... after all these down years.
I am unsure how I feel about Silvagni being dropped, are we too tall with the below rolling through? Think we had this first few rounds didn't we?
Pittonet
TDK
McKay
Curnow
Silvagni
We clearly can't continue with Silvagni rucking, so TDK and Pitt are locks. So are McKay and Curnow. Question remains whether we can have SOS in there too.
Notable that we are tall in the backline too with Gov back. He could always swing forward I guess?
Just feels rough on Silvagni - he's been great this year.
How did you pick this? think youre the only one that got it right..
Ok Fonzi.Still think JSos is being managed, which is a good thing leading to finals

He outsmarts them. It is really clever play. Early in games, and even early in quarters, he leads hard and/or flies in packs, marks it or goes very close, and really makes his opponent sweat. He plants the thought in their mind, that they have to go with him... and then, he quietly slips out the back.Yeah I initially thought the same, then I thought if the idiot defenders all want to go up and leave him out the back 5 metres from an open goal then more power to him.
Oppo coaches must pull their hair out every time he does it.
Highlights the panic that sets in when a high ball comes into the hot spot with Charlie and Harry there.
What great crumbing did Motlop do last week? Which of his 5 handballs which lead to 0 score involvements was great crumbing?
Honey is out Managed. It's not because his game wasn't as good than in any aspect of forward craft than Motlop's.
They better bring heat and they better create and kick goals … JSOS does all of this … looking forward to the mosquito fleet bringing it …Think Voss made it pretty clear about JSOS today...
His main role is the 3rd ruck/forward, in this role he is no doubt behind TDK...
Some here and in the media are being quite hysterical...
If his name wasn't Silvagni, and was say Plowman doubt many, if any would have blinked an eye...
As for him being out over Durdin, Owies and Motlop... They don't even play the same role...
With the 3 small forwards and 3 tall forwards in
they are going to bring some serious heat to opposition defenders if the ball hits the ground something JSOS doesn't offer...
Actually based on the way Voss said “there may be challenges in and around the Adelaide game that make it even harder” I think he was alluding to a late out.Back next week and you know it !!!![]()
