They have the strong bodies I’m hoping Wade, with his NRL background, will develop in our group. We didn't look for the switch all game, I'm sure they will work on that in post game reviews.
Melbourne employed similar zone tactics but didn't capitalise as well. We adjusted and started switching. Vs Swan's the switch play just didn't happen.
Swans very powerfully built team all have the explosive quality and stand up strong in tackles/over the ball. Warner (one of many good youths for them) is a gun they just keep getting these NSW kids and churning out quality players.
They have a classically built spine with enviable KPP prospects.
Cats vs Swans GF a good chance and I think they will roll them if it happens.
We just don't have the depth to lose Grundy, Degoey, Adams, Ginnivan and lesser extent Reef who imo all make us a better team.
Build up of close games week after week is taxing add to that, Flights, flu and we looked off from word go.
Hopefully get up for Carlton and then reset with 2 weeks to recover for finals and have a red hot go.
Name 4 who'd be ahead of him?
I'd struggle to name them and B&F counting rewards playing lots of games, so Adams/DeGoey won't be finishing ahead of him.
Josh could go close to winning it. He's been a lot more influential than Crisp in recent week

What is your definition of young?we dont have enough quality young players. The bad news is that some of the senior players are going to be a year older next year....
I doubt we will, considering we are playing for the double chance...
It’s not working with Mihocek who is clearly hurt and Cox and Cameron not taking enough marks between them either.
We need to play another permanent marking target

Little bro brings out the best in him, and ya love to see it.J Daicos continues his good form. He might be top 5 in the Copeland.
I’m going with Crisp, N Daicos and Moore if it was counted today. No one's been dominant all year Crisp hit form mid season for a block then died off, NDaicos had a run.
JDaicos has been good for probably the longest stretch.
Degoey had a run, Grundy had some good opening games, Elliott bobbed up here or there.
Ginnivans had some good games early and maynard also been consistent down back.
Be a close vote.
Things always look bleak when a side that depends upon high-intensity is off the boil. Our game plan falls apart when our pressure is down, and we get smashed with uncontested ball. The Tigers did it to us, the Dogs did it to us, and even the Eagles did it to us. After each of those losses, the outlook was bleak. Not often I feel this way, but I'm f$&@ing gutted. Even if we had the flu, and a few injuries, it seems like a bleak outlook. I look at the permutations, especially in light of how Sydney just sliced through us like Swiss cheese, and if we finish fifth given how the teams go around us, and the blues play their grand final against us next week, we won't go beyond week one.
That said, I'm happy for everyone to bring me around and offer some hope. But I just see Good Horse becoming victim to some pony epidemic, or even, finding out he his a mule, or a zebroid.
Where is Gimpy, when you need a laugh, or the Collingwood of 11 in a row, when a horse needs a (win)ny?!![]()
Nice of you to say. I like to tell myself our flat looking performance was due to things outside our control like the flu, not sure though. Your boys played beautifully, and with strategy.Sorry for intrusion but this was no easy win for the Swans, you pushed us all the way. It was plain to me why and how you’d won 11 in a row. Also, Everything went wrong for you guys: flu, late outs and a massive streak to defend. You will destroy the Blues, simply you know how to win, they don’t. Then you can rest up and reload for the Cats.

If we get our intensity back, we will win next week. If we don’t, we’ll lose. Pretty simple equation in my view, and I’ll back the coaching group to get us back on track.

Well that's just plain blasphemous!… and this really happened. I kid you not …
… the half time entertainment had Mike Brady singing “Up there for Sydney”, some alternate lyrics to the tune of ‘Up there Cazaly’.
Awful, just plain awful.
Adulterating Up there Cazaly was just wrongThe Swans have mined down into whole new depths of tragic …
… now I’m not normally one of those ‘too-cool-for-skool’ grinch types that poo poo’s Sweet Caroline. Not my thing, but I don’t begrudge others enjoying a sing-along. I don’t poo poo kiss-cam either. Again, not my thing, but if others want to embrace it then go right at it.
But their latest game day thing has got me properly rolling my eyes, tut tutting, shaking my head, and face palming …

Yep. We've only really got two runners injured - Adams and JDG , yet have Brown, Bianco and Carmichael all in the team. Really need to get those two back and continue to have a lucky run with injuries. We pretty much have Bugger All Depth
