Thats gold Jerry.
Gold.
Would you watch it again?
Stanley is a hit and miss player who can absolutely flounder in finals; and with what Ceglar has shown is in serious trouble.
Blitz is an All Australian, multi B&F winning player who had a bad game. He gets away with it because of what he can provide that nobody else can.

30 possies? He had our most tackles, clearances and contested possessions. What else do you want from him?
Played awfully, many players crumbled under pressure again, and the whole match was skill errors galore. I spent the whole match complaining about our finals incompetence tbh.
However.....right now, I don't care about any of that. Just f**king pumped we somehow won lol.
Come on Geelong.
Wow that game gives me more questions than answers.
Loved our never give in attitude when we had no momentum but hated our fumbles skill errors and allowing pies forwards space on transition.
We didnt get the bounce of the ball all nigh5 either.
So many selection calls to dissect.
Cameron is worth all we paid for him.
Credit to the coaches i wouldnt have picked rohan it was a brave call but him and jezza won us the game.
Picking holmes was also a brave but right call and he was super as was close, dekoning was really good and so was zuthrie.
Not having parf as the sub nearly cost us the game as we needed more defensive pressure in the mids they killed us in transition.
That was the worst game ive seen blicavs play in years and stanley was old bad stanley.
Melbourne arent as good as they were last year but gawn is still top 10 in the comp and if stanley and blitz play that badly again he could win melb the game. It would be a brave call to change the structure and bring back ceglar for the prelim but i wonder if we do it. I think its more likely now than 24 hours ago.
Hopefully tonight was our nervous game ala the 2007 prelim and we smash it in our next game.
Why do they call it Ovaltine?
Gee they went early with the Collingwood chant. Flogs
Stanley rightfully getting canned for his game by almost everyone.
As bad as a game he played. blicavs game was worse. Amazing what a free ride blicavs gets from supporters who just ignore it.
only 11 disposals as a full time mid. His opponent for much of the night pendlebury had 34. Blciavs also screwed up two critical plays in the last 10 minutes. One cost us a goal to degoey and another almost cost us the game but was saved by stewart and close who were 2 on 3 at half back on a turnover.
Amazing isn't it how those making a lot of noise for about 180 minutes from 4:15pm or so, have suddenly gone quiet over the last hour...In the end, thank goodness the players showed a lot more composure than a he'll of a lot of posters in the game day thread.
Could have cost us the game...not very professional imoGotta agree. A lot had been made of Rohan's final performances, but Blicavs is in a similar boat. Has a pretty ordinary finals record and added to that tonight. What was with him slipping over tonight?
Was Stanley benched for most of the last quarter?
Your typical Scott in finals coaching master-strokeWhat’s peoples thoughts on having Selwood and danger riding the bench at the start of every quarter? Pies got a hold of us at each start and we really only starting getting ahead in there when Selwood wound back the clock and did his thing.
Yeah, it's a fair enough call even if I disagree. Ceglar had shown enough in his few games to suggest he's a viable option.
I don't know what Stanley's deal was tonight - he's at his best when he launches hard and early at the centre bounces, but tonight he continually stayed down...and was continually ineffective. Also dropped marks he should have taken and got caught holding the ball a few times where he'd usually get a handball off.
Still think he shouldn't be dropped off one poor game, but as I said earlier he only has himself to blame if he does.
Interesting & frustrating, but we then had them in there at the end of each quarter which seems to have been the plan - rather than run them into the ground early in quarters, we kept them fresh for the later stagesWhat’s peoples thoughts on having Selwood and danger riding the bench at the start of every quarter? Pies got a hold of us at each start and we really only starting getting ahead in there when Selwood wound back the clock and did his thing.
